Anyone managed to do the the Warthog with Baby Warthogs mission, I think I've ran into the scripting bug that a few people have had where they don't appear, which pretty much stops me from progressing any further in the game, from what I've read unless you do the mission the instant you get the email they don't appear again. Might have to wait for a patch for this or start a new game when my JPN version arrives.

didnt realise there was a bug. i had it in my inbox for ages as i couldnt see them, and wondered when they'd turn up. i saw them last night, by the little mud hole area up by the river in the plains area.

it was around the time i was doing wildebeast river crossings, in fact it might have been right afer. was just driving past it and heard some weird noises.

I've done missions in a totally different order to you then as I never had that email while doing the wildebeast river crossing, got it quite a bit afterwards, only just received mission 25 as well for some reason. I've searched everywhere and still no sign of them, a couple of people over on Gamefaqs have had the same problem. I've still got about 8 other missions in my inbox so i'll do those in the meantime and hope either they re-appear or a patch comes out soon.

I'm sure you just revisit the same place you saw them the day after, that should then trigger the event.

The Big game trophys are triggered by replying to the emails with what I think is an exclamation mark at the side of them, I replied to the one with the Hyenas on it and then a day or 2 later after seeing the first cut scene of them chasing the deer I went back to the same place and a big game trophy event was triggered. It might be different with yours though as it seems you can do missions in different orders so the way I did it might not be the same.

i've got three emails at the moment, and they seem to be a right pain.

baby hippo, i assume is just a matter of time till i see it.
angry zebra, i've been charged a few times trying to get this one. anybody know if there is an easy way? i keep trying to find one that gets angry, get the picture and run away. but i always miss. you seem to only get one chance, then it charges.
find three skulls. i guess its just a laborious search.

did the giraffes fighting yesterday, which was cool. i didnt actually know they did that. looked really brutal.

Can't help you with the others at the minute as I was up to the same bit with my Asian copy of the game, sold that so just waiting for the JPN version to show up, but the skulls bit, the first 2 are found on

Kiwanja Plain, ones on the sand bank where you took pictures of the crocodile, the other is right at the far end of the Plain on the edge where all the dried up river bed is, i think it's near some logs iirc, the last one is near your base camp under the dead tree where theres usually a vulture sat on the branch

ah, thanks. i assumed they would be near where predators might catch them, so found the first one you mention easily. but i was looking around where i saw the big cats for the others. so thats done now.
also managed the zebra one, although it wasnt a great picture, particularly when on the national geographic cover. still a B though.

just that baby hippo one now. there are only two hippo spots arent there? the one near camp and the one with the flamingos. i've visited both so many times at all times of day and nothing. i better check out the swamp tomorrow i think just in case they are there too.

ha, found that damn hippo. it was in the swamp as suspected.

trouble is i've now not got any emails left. been wandering around trying to find some new species without luck. uploaded a couple of baby pics i forgot to do, but nothing new is there. been looking through the field guide, cant think of anything i've seen which i havent put up.

got it. there was a new animal in choroa gorge. called a gerenuk, hangs out with the gazelle, and looks a lot like them so i didnt notice.
things are moving on now, just done my first night time excursion, and got a pic of a porcupine.
