There is an unofficial workaround for those codes disabling saving/achievements - take a look on the gamefaqs forum.

My first impressions are that the Prologue level is a mess. Sound drops out, tearing (360 HDMI), screen freezes/skips. Act1 however gave none of these problems for me.

I did manage to get stuck in the wall of the scrapped space ship on Act2. Was jumping in thru the hole in the roof and got blasted. As i went flying through the air i got stuck in the wall and had to restart.

Any one having probs with Act2 boss? At best i only seem to have half health by the time i get to the 2nd part of the scrap. Any tips for the Tiny Jedi guy?

Best thing I found was to

zap the little swine with lightning and then Force Push the little bastard in to something.

Or zap, grab and throw -whichever takes your fancy

I started playing it a bit today. I'm not really enjoying this tbh, i can't stand the slight delay between actions, especially the jump. It looks really rough in places too, moreso than Too Human i found. Hopefully i can persevere and finish it, as soon as its done. It is gone.

I found it way more fun that Too Human, couldn't stand it as it was such a badly designed game. I couldn't even get into the story which is saying something, the only redeeming features it had were the upgrade and levelling up system.

Back to Star Wars though, just finished it about 10 minutes ago and my thoughts still stand from my earlier impressions. It is a good game with a really interesting story, especially if you have any sort of interest in Star Wars whatsoever. Solid 7/10 and once again, enjoyed it way more than Too Human.

The combat is a bit hit and miss as I mentioned before, that is mainly down to the awkward targeting system though. A better targeting system and the combat would of have a bit more flow to it. Saying that though as you go along you get used to the targeting and learn how the game wants to pick out your enemies.

I don't understand the "rough looking" comments, it is quite a decent looking game! A couple of the locations (there aren't that many) look rather gorgeous actually. Starkiller has a very good character model and his animation is pretty good too, no complaints from me on that part. Horses for courses though I guess, as I thought Too Human looked very much like a high end Xbox game.

Towards the end a couple of the stages do drag on, one springs to mind immediately. All I will say is you better be handy using those left and right analog sticks. The final boss battles are rather fun though and quite challenging too, I really enjoyed them.

Overall, a good solid 7/10 (maybe 7.5 if I was being kind) game. I don't think it will be one to keep in the collection but it is a good Star Wars game (woo!) and definately worth a one time playthrough.

Agreed, finished this earlier too. I enjoyed it, combat is rewarding when you get to grips with everything. Granted though, unlike DMC/NG you dont need to master Starkiller in order to complete the game.

I'm actually going to go through this again. 8/10 from me.

I'm enjoying it more now Ezee. Moreso when i'm not half drunk. When i say visuals, some of the areas in the game are completly barren, but yeah it is a much preetier game than i initially thought. I was at the Junkyard level when i posted my first impressions, its probably the worst looking level i've come across so far.

The combat is getting alot better, didn't realise the levelling up system was increasing his speed gradually. I had problems when i first started, there was a delay in button presses, but its getting better. I still have a problem with the jump though, its very naff. Its really hard to be precise with it and aswell as doing air combos.

In my last post i would have given the game a 6/10, but now it has increased to a 7.5 it isn't quite an 8 yet, but hopefully by the end of the game it will change.

Sweet zombie Jesus! Who ever put that

                  Star Destroyer

bit in needs to be shot.

It's a lesson of how to take one of the potentially coolest bits of the games and turn it into a clustershag of epic measure.

I've not had any problems with this game at all until I hit that bit this afternoon - an hour trying to pass it and still no go. First of all the commands are ambigious and unclear - as a gamer I don't expect to have to play an unintentional mini-game where I supposed to guess if I should be setting the stick neutral? Pushing it in? Pushing it up?

Then all of a sudden the commands stop doing anything. I get the green light means you're on course and that I should be letting go of the sticks but then it won't do anything after the third time of trying to

                  pull it down

                  .

                  Nothing.

And then the TIE Fighters swoop in an decimate you, forcing you start all over again.

I don't often get really this frustrated with games, but this sequence managed to get me to put down the pad and walk away.

                  [/vent]

Yeah i totally agree with you Spatial. Just try to do as much as possible and stop doing it when the Tie Fighters get close. In the end i just used Force Lightening on them and then finish the last one off with a barrel, then resumed.

I was really looking forward to this, but the whole thing was an annoyance more than anything. It takes awhile to even do it my way, where it should only be a 10 minute job the most. It just outstays its welcome.

I'd been tackling it the same way by doing the lightning to take out the TIE fighters and then get back to it quick enough before it resets. Seems a bit hit and miss sometimes though and there were times when its position was reset as soon as it went back in to grab mode.

I will crack the swine, but I may bust a few blood vessels doing it.

I just finished it. It has some serious problems and terrible gameplay design in some areas, it was a fun game though. To highlight some of the problems, i have had it crash on me and Starkiller would get stuck in places. For example onetime during a qte fight with a rankor which dissappeared in the middle of it, forcing my character to be stuck in animation, only way out of it was to quit the game.

Would i play it again, probably not. |Its no way a 7 or 8/10 game. I give it 6/10.

Managed to get over that particular hurdle now.

I don't think it helps that after the third attempt the stick movements go to hell so it isn't actually guiding you to the green zone for Force Grab to activate. If you try to adjust the position manually to where you think you should be nine times out of ten it will work.

                          Sloppy stuff.

I think my biggest problem with this game is its just fallen short of greatness. You can tell the bean counters have told them to drop tools and get it out the door. This could have easily benefited from another 6 months development time.

I'm still enjoying it though, and for me personally its far more enjoyable than NG2 even with the niggles.

Once you get further into it the visuals are great. I for one actually liked the junk planet. It has this 'junky' feel to it that harks back to the original trilogy. Stuff looks used and lived in.

My favourite bits are when you are in the real thick of it. I liked the fact you can hold down the trigger to deflect blaster bolts and take in the geography to plan your attack.

There are cool little touches like when you are on your own trying to figure out where to go next and all you can hear is the gentle hum of your lightsaber. (I wish it was like the jdei night games where you could manually active/deactive it).

Definitley a 8/10 for me and well worth the 30 quid I paid from Asda.

So thats 2 on my main purchasing reasons out the window. I cant believe theres no multiplayer at all. Something like the Jedi Academy multiplayer would be awesome with that new physics engine
yeah thats only on the wii i think.

out of interest am i the only one so far that played it on the wii?

I really enjoyed the whole game though maybe i didnt have the same expectations as most. to me it was pretty much an over the top jedi academy (which i loved by the way) with a really good story. ive already started again, this time ill try and collect all the extras and max out all my force powers and go for the different ending. the game definitely could have used a bit more polish but overall i thought it was great and easily the best star wars game since kotor (though i suppose thats not really that hard to do)

                              an 8.5/10 for me

What is the multiplayer like on the Wii? My son was pestering to get the Wii version and I told him the PS3 version would be better with the physics etc. Now I see no multiplayer I am having second thoughts. I managed to get the graphic novel from Gamestation and have Brothers In Arms preordered there so my trade this in on Friday. I liked level 1 and 2 but level 3 was boring. From the previews I was really looking forward to the Mushroom planet level but it was a huge letdown.
