Thats the one. I think it's possible to do them all with any ship, just whatever one you're used to. But on a course like Sol 2, I think it may be a little easier using a high handling ship due to some of the mental hairpins.

Event 7 is huge, loads of races to do. Zone on Ubermall and Sol 2 will be insane too!

Ubermall could be a bastard with hairpin at the last corner and the one you would normally jump using boost.

I've got all golds in Event 6 now apart from the Sol 2 Rapier Time Trial. It is total head****!

same here, got all golds in event 6 ,apart from the Sol2 TT .... it's rock hard, got to silver but didn't have to patience to continue ... I will go back to it this week...

Hehe yeh, nailed it. I actually used it as I turn the last corner to cross the finish line with! Couldn't be arsed using it in any of the valleys to try and squeeze in barrel rolls, was too tricky.

hmmmm, I use the boost at the exact same spot..... ok, then it all comes down to get all the corners better and don't miss any speedpads...

Just done the Sol 2 Rapier Speed Lap, thought it was gonna be hard but managed it first attempt on lap 4 or something. Just got 2 zones, a tournament and TT left on Event 7 to gold then it's the dreaded MELTDOWN!!!

Managed to get a gold on that Grid 6 Sol 2 stage finally with Icarus and also managed that barrel roll trophy on Moa Therma which was a bugger to do I'll tell ya!

Finally completed Headrush. Switched to Piranha for the time trials and speed laps but managed to "upgrade" a bronze to a gold and get a bronze on Ubermall top-left trial; this let me skip Chengdou altogether.

Ugh, I can't get that Chenghou gold on Headrush either, it's doing my nut in. That first tight left bend kills me and I really struggle to get smoothly around the sweeping left off-camber bend after the two small jumps. :/

Far too stubborn to continue until I have the gold.

I have the bronze on that but not by much, I think I need to lose over two seconds for the gold, and it's obvious that I just need smoother laps, but I just can't get the key sections of that track right.

I even experimented with using motion control for the pitch last night to ease that sweeping left, as pointing the nose down definitely makes it smoother but doing so removes some of the fine control from the corner itself. Perhaps I should switch to analogue control over the d-pad.

I did read some tips suggesting using the side-shift in that bend helps as well, which makes sense. I also changed my airbrakes to L1/R1 last night, which removes the analogue control (Which I didn't really use) but makes them a little more accessible.

Got all golds on Drop Zone last night. Had almost the exact same experience on the Sol 2 Rapier Speed Lap. Expected a tough time but clearly all the practice paid off as Gold came after the second lap.

As mentioned, the final Campaign events appear to be all Phantom so I think it's going to be a while before I gold them all (my only previous experience with this class is "oh ****, I'm about to fail" in Zone mode). I did get gold on the very first event (Sol 2 Speed Lap) but it didn't look anywhere near as smooth or impressive as I can perform at lower classes so didn't get much satisfaction from it.

To be honest thats the only way I have been able to do any of the harder ones!!

Finished Meltdown over the weekend, and found it easier than group 6 or 7 in the end.
