Just a heads up all - Rock band ac/dc track pack is coming 19th of dec to the UK

Gameplay and HMV have it up for preorder for £24 ish

Yep saw that I got an email from Amazon about that a few days back.

I also notice Amazon are now showing the MadCatz cymbal packs for pre-order saying they'll be released on Jan 2nd.

ACDC pack is still way overpriced , i want it but when the full games is ?37 a track pack for ?25 isnt good value, i do want it but find it hard to justify the price which i why i havent imported it when it came out.

working it out as DLC though, it's only maybe a 2/3 pounds more than it would cost through the store plus It's a standalone title (if you want) with it's own achievements etc.

Hardly way overpriced imo. Obviously it'll depend on your enjoyment of ac/dc as well :P

I see most of the yanks are using the code and then flogging the standalone game on ebay.

Im surprised most are selling given that I'd expect most consumers would be purchasing it for Rock Band2 anyway but it seems its a nice way to recoup some of the cost.

Im buying it... Its not too expensive given the pricing of the normal DLC and I really like most of the tracks on there.

I've had a chance to get into this over the festive period and I have to say it's a decent improvement over the original. I think the thing that really makes it for me (beyond the excellent track list) is the no fail mode. When you've had a few scoops and the old reaction times are off this is invaluable! It's the best party game I've played since Bomberman on the SNES.

I've just noticed that they've released a pack for the big O yesterday. Excellent. They've also managed to include 'In Dreams' which means I can live out my Blue Velvet fantasies without anyone knowing.

Nope. I gave in and bought a RB1 wireless guitar in the sales.

EA are crapola at supporting this game in the UK. Rock Band 2 was released with merely a whisper and disappeared from the charts. meanwhile Guitar Hero: World Tour has sold loads. I don't think we'll see the instrucments any time soon.

Yeh its weird as the mad catz cymbal packs (which are only for the RB2 drums) are out now...

I blame the delayed RB1 release, they just want to milk what hardware they have out there now before bringing out the better stuff. I've source an RB2 drum kit from the US, whacked my goodwoodmods stealth heads on it and then sourced the cymbals from the US as well.

My RB1 kit now gathers dust...

I really want this as I want to be able to learn the drums a bit better using the free play mode.

Im struggling to find any information on the Rock Band 2 instruments here in the UK, does anyone know where I can read about them/pre order??

I heard there's a nice bass guitar coming, but I can't find it on the webs!

Well I've ordered GH: Word Tour purely for the Guitar and Rockband 2 the game. Will be selling on GH:WT immediately. Now I only have to get hold of a cheap second guitar for my co-op partner. Any ideas?
