Awesome, will be playing some more games tonight when I get home. The friends list system is only an in-game one right? I had to enter your ID to send you an invite last night, bit long winded if that is how it is gonna work.

Is there any reason to choose the 360 version over the PS3 version this time around?

I can't think of one. I know you can only share Edit (option) files, use custom music and crowd chant mp3s on PS3. Edit mode also allows you to import images from the HDD on PS3. One may think Xbox Live service may be a good reason, but I think Konami host the servers, so if they're sh*t, then so are both versions (I think). Other than that.. both games play, look and perform the same.

          Edit: Oh and Achievements

Bar I was hoping there would be something that would help me pick which platform to get it on

Is the Konami ID unique to each game disc like last years?

No. It's just the same as MGS4. I used my MGO game ID to login.

Boo Berbatovs blonde and if you change his hair there's none which are as good to pick from to give him dark hair.

I'm such an edit mode geek.

Just gone online to find this message from Konami...
'The lobby server is unstable due to technical problems.
Customers may be forced to log out from the lobby server.
We would like to apologize for all inconveniences caused.'

Is this the end of the short n sweet honeymoon?

except that konami message is dated 17/10 oddly.

wouldn't call this super smooth online, I'm on PS3 via ethernet on a 20mb cable connection and its odd. no teleporting players but its like they've coded round the lag to make it look smooth but the button presses all seem to have delay and trying to track a nippy player like Messi is a mare as by the time you've seen what happened, moved, then the game reacts he's gone.

had 3 games and wouldn't say its as good solely in online terms as PE 06 which I played to death online on my x360.

plus don't get me started on the whole konami id garbage which i had to go thru.

I can't believe I forgot just how crap Konami are after the mess that MGO was. Just started the game up to be told that I need a Game ID to be able to do anything online, spent nearly 20 minutes adding a new game ID to be told that I can only have 1 game ID on my Konami ID so I have to create a new Konami ID.

I spend another 1o minutes setting up another Konami ID due to the site crashing every couple of minutes for my Konami ID to be refused due to somebody already registering that email address with a Konami ID which would obviously be me.

I've just lost interest in it now.

Quite right, it is a nightmare trying to defend online against players like Messi, Ronaldo, Kaka or Ronaldinho!

I don't think you can. I think each player joins a match room until 4 seperate users (consoles) are in, then it begins. Would of made sense to include co-op for one machine.

About defending against the stars.. You really have to change the way you defend in this. Standing off or normal running into their path (head on or from sides) works best. Holding pressure, especially with sprint button just causes over committing, easy to read defending and allows stars such as Messi leave you in your committing tackle animation

I like it. It's the reason 2008 felt so arcadey. Just hold X and hope for best won't cut it in this (well, unless he skinned you and now you need to chase him and tug his shirt like hell ).

This game makes you get more involved. Using fooball brain like made to stay alive and create some great chances.
