360 version states upto 1080p and downloadable content.
PS3 version goes upto 720p and no mention of downloadable content.
Tested both consoles via hdmi on a 32" lcd @ 720p.

Thinking I`m gonna stick with the PS3 version.

That LE lunchbox is class - if I had kids they would so be taking their lunch to school in that![/QUOTE]

can someone with a 1080p panel, let me know if the ps3 version can be upscaled to 1080p (by unticking the 720p box)?

Do the wandering beasts level with you like in Obliv? As in you start off finding rats in the forsted then soon wolves etc etc, or is it more like a traditional rpg where there are some areas that just have tough foes?

(just re read this, apologies for all the question marks!)
Beasts don't level up with you. No sleep needed to level up either. You get points to choose and a special skill too.

Oblivion was quite a lot better on PS3.

Is there any information on which of the Fallout versions is best?

Ima ask another noob Q, but i cant be arsed trawling through gaming sites looking at shots to determine this so hopefully a kind soul here can clarify for me.

Is the game a FPS, or is it a biohazard 4 style type of interaction? Fingers crossed for 3rd person!

Do they actually look like beards this time, and not spraypainted blobs like in Oblivion?

FPS or a sort of poorly implemented 3rd person option if you so desire. Well, if Oblivion is anything to go by that is.

you can have either - you control the zoom of the 3rd person view, so you can have it very like resi 4

No trophies on PS3 version, was mentioned earlier on in thread.
Dunno if it maybe patch them in later.

Supposedly 3rd person is so bad you'll want to play it in 1st person though!

As I haven't got my copy yet, how is the top down view? Does it work well?

Sticking with the first person view, also opted for the 360 version in the end (it was free and the extra content swung it for me) My only gripe at the moment is at night you realy cant see a bloody thing wandering around megaton let alone outside.

i think there is alot of negativity about the 3rd person view, because people arent zooming it to an 'over the shoulder view'. Is not really a true fps anyhow, like half life 2/halo3 etc etc, as the aiming speed isnt great

Yea but its a bit poor in large outdoor areas. Maybe its trying to tell me something lol
