They've led pretty heavily with the 360 on both of their main products so far. Oblivion on the PS3 is *still* waiting for fixes that the 360 received, although both versions are far from bug free. DLC has been prioritised etc.

I'm probably being a little unfair to Bethesda. Perhaps I should just notch it up to my usual hate target.

I had a serious love hate relationship with the radio by the 200th hour of gameplay, similar to that patricia tannis character in borderlands...
I did this. Got hold of the Fallout 3 soundtrack and a greatest hits of the 50s compilation. Good times!

Yeah just to clarify, this isnt a feature of the game but rather using the xbox O/S by pressing the controller middle (X) button ingame and selecting the media blade. You can also stream from a media server pc much like this:
Experience the latest Microsoft Windows 11 features. Learn how our latest Windows OS gives you more ways to work, play and create.

I've not needed to do it for any other game as I usually find the music fine for most shorter games, but extra 50s music by similar bands was well worth a download - I've already eyeballed an album to extend the music in new vegas

EDIT: Looks like you can do the same thing with the ps3

Personally, and considering all that time spent exploring the world, I constantly found the music heightened the already gripping atmosphere. So soothing while traversing those immense landscapes and so forbidding when it needed to be. It could have so easily have become intrusive, but once the music started i knew I was in Fallout's world. Loved it
Adam, don't get me wrong I love the music, jus when you play for hours on end and it loops it does get slightly repetative. Infact half the tunes that get played in the game introduced me to some classics which I sourced elswhere for my own listening pleasure away from the game.

Im currently at about 170 hours + but if you coulnt in the number of times ive died or played side missions i had not saved to get the best out comes im probably clocking as much as yourself 200 odd plus........

200 hours? Wow, I completed the game to 100% (Including all DLC) and clocked in just over 80 hours. And I didn't fast travel. Must have still missed an INSANE amount of content in the game, but I just can't stick with a single game for that long before I need something fresh.

I think what took me so long was mainly doing quests from different perspectives, ie being good and bad, jus tto see the out comes........ Plus i went on silly rampages where id jus go blazing in megaton or go giant rad scorpian crazy with a Chinese Sword lol.........

Also the amount of under ground train stations that i had to traverse was crazy.........

Oh and I pretty much stealthed my way through most parts so thats probably where my time was mostly spent........

Gonna get back to this tonight after work.

Fullspecwarrior, what did you do in the 'Pitt'?

did you take the baby and free the slaves or did you go against the rebellion? Just wondering if you get bad Karma for betraying the slaves........ as im testing my way through it and 'ahem' stealing the new born

My character was built around stealth as well - Silent Running FTW!

I got lost on the damned underground more times than I care to mention!

I got to 120 hours on Oblivion and had still barely touched the main quest (did the first couple of parts). Finished the thieves guild storyline and did quite a lot of the warriors and mages guild stuff, but the rest of the time was spent doing odd one-off quests and exploring in general.

I'm up to around 30 hours in Fallout now, but I do actually want to finish this (I want to finish Oblivion once and for all ideally, but I think my gf would probably leave ). I just need to do it in a more reasonable timeframe.

Bethesda claimed the reason for not (initially) supporting DLC for the PS3 version Fallout 3 was down to poor sales of Oblivion DLC on the PS3... There was no DLC offered for Oblivion on PS3. That's how Bethesda roll

I'm a bit Anti Bethesda. I've played Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind and Oblivion and every single game has been bugged to hell! However, they must be doing something right as I've played all 4 of them lol!

I played through 3 or 4 different characters (stupidly forgot to keep a save right after leaving the vault) to get the various karma achievements and all the bobbleheads. Mostly with the difficulty pushed up so i couldnt get single shot kills which somewhat spoiled the challenge of the game towards the end of the first play through.

Entertained myself with a Joseph Fritzl styled character with the character engine, finding all the unique weapons and my own game of only killing enemies with sporks from the junk launcher towards the end [forks and spoons are forbidden!]. I think I'm totally done with the game now though and looking forward to new vegas.

This weekend I went through The Pitt and Mothership Zeta. The Pitt was excellent, with a great location and a good plot I got really involved in (though I felt dirty after reaching the conclusion, wasn't happy with my choices). Really moody place.

Mothership Zeta, on the other hand, felt like punishment. It felt like I was playing some other game while I wanted to be playing Fallout. Really didn't like it at all.

Mothership Zeta is the only dlc I've finished so far. It was, indeed, ****. Need to go back to this game and finish it before New Vegas...

Dogg Thang, I also finished the 'Pitt' off this weekend and I also started Mothership Zeta, its not great, but as a means of leveling up, it aint bad......... Not finished it yet, but havea fewwing im not far off......... It kinda feels like Perfect Dark in places lol........

I was eyeing up Point Lookout, but as it's meant to be the Cream of the crop of DLC I thought Id leave it till last, to end on a high before New Vegas claims my life in October.........

I had hit the level cap just before Zeta, so I didn't even get any levelling up bonuses there.

I'll be starting Point Lookout this evening. Hoping it's more Pitt and less Zeta.

Mothership Zeta is awful. The premise and start and pretty good, but then it just descends into a dull corridor shooter. The problem is that you can't get back to the main world unless you finish it (or load a previous save) and it is huge.

There is also a really annoying achievement that requires about 30 consoles to be read. If you miss one of them by the end, you've missed the whole achievement. To make matters worse, the consoles look very similar to other static items on the ship.
