Mothership Zeta was your favourite? Really?

Something has been bugging me. You've survived a nuclear attack, found a pretty sound building to live in, thrown down your mucky mattress and declared the place yours. What's the first thing you do-

      a) Remove the corpses.

That's it. No other choices because anything else would be insanity. But does anyone in Fallout 3 remove the corpses? No. Quite the opposite - some seem to have brought people into those nice houses of theirs and dismembered them on their mucky mattresses. And left them there.

It's unhygienic and just all-round icky.

At least one full generation later and nobody seems to have decided to clean up.

I'm in Point Lookout now after a quick detour

      back to Vault 101

after picking up a distress message and then deciding that I couldn't go on any longer without putting a bullet in

      Roy Phillips' face.

Point Lookout looks pretty great and it's quite creepy at night.

Poxy Feral Reaver Ghouls are a pain in my ass though. What possible material could those things be made of that they'll take so much punishment?

I thought the corpses were a nod to canabalism. Read McCarthy's "The Road" if you get a chance... apparently the whole dev team did as a part of their research, and it really helps you get into the mood (until you play the bad dlc anyways)

I don't know. They might well imply canabalism in some scenarios but, mostly, they just seem to be old crispy bodies, rather than eaten. And there's no shortage of fine mole rat meat.

I haven't read The Road. Heard it's miserable but excellent. I may have to read it at some point.

Can't argue with this, they're one of the few enemies that gave me problems regardless of level or setup - they're horrible bullet sponges. If they're weak to a specific attack I couldn't find it (Though I did mostly rely on standard ballistic weaponry).

EDIT: The Road is miserable but dull.

I thought the film was miserable and dull but the book was really good (and at the same time depressing)

Anyways... i know the black bodies and skeletons you mean now and yeah you would think they'd not be there any more if someone else has moved in! I guess they must have been too busy trying not to die

That's why I never get round to tidying my house.

Totally immersed in Point Lookout now. It's brilliant. The location is superb but, more importantly, it's structured like the best bits of the main game - with several missions of different types and sizes scattered around a pretty huge area. Loads of explore and discover.

Theres some pretty good quests in point lookout & a few great weapons that you can bring back to the wastelands.

Dont seem to put as much time in nowdays i spend most of my time on oblivion instead as i find it has a lot more variation. Although mezzing people in fallout & slapping slave collars on them never gets dull.

Neither does the easy exp glitch, get the sandman perk so you can kill people in their sleep. Then goto arndale & wait till night, in one of the houses there is a kid in bed. Just repetedly slash his throat while he sleeps, kids are invincible but the bug gives you exp even though he is still alive. Sadly they patched it in the update.

The kid was pretty dumb, he never once questioned what i was doing for hours in his room I can't wait for new vegas, finally the kids can be wasted like everyone else hurrah.

I don't know whether to be laughing out loud, or concerned for the general population with your last statement Importaku........ But it does make sense to allow you to waste away some bratty kids, as the kids you encounter before 'Big Town' are SO in need of a good VATs cleansing.........

I finally got that perk that opens up all the location on the map, and I was shocked to find that I had missed SO much!

Not sure if the DLC added most of those locations, but hey who..........

Got a question, that im hoping someone can help me out with. On one of the missions in the original game,

it asks you to photograph the Washington Memorial........ how do you do this? As I've picked up some random cameras from the Wastelands, but it's like an inanimate object, and it does not allow you to do anything with it/them. Any ideas?

BTW Dogg thang, which moral decision did you make on the 'pitt'?

                        @112,

it's not a photo you need take, I got a bit confused with that as well to begin with, it's actually a poster of the memorial, you can find it hanging on a wall inside the Museum of History

There was no way I was going to

kidnap a baby. The very fact that I wasn't told about it meant I couldn't trust that Wehrner guy. And with her mother right there? Couldn't do it.

                            What about you?

I think I'm pretty much done in Point Lookout now. Although I thought that very early this evening and happened upon another quest so you never know. For me, it's definitely the best of the DLC packs that I've played (only one I haven't played is Broken Steel). Tons to do, a great location and just generally high-quality.

It looks gorgeous too. I have got quite attached to the place.

That quest I found did make me go to the

Dunwich Building in the Capitol Wasteland.

I had found that building on my travels a while ago, took one look inside and decided it was best left unexplored. A bit too creepy for me. But I was left with no choice but to finally make it through.

73 hours I have now put into the game. Ridiculous really.

Is that the building where you go looking for someone

that seems to be holed up against the Ghouls, and turns out to have turned into one in the end?
