I love the DS, personally. In all its various iterations. The 360 pad is good but the DualShock's pretty much a thing of beauty. I had absolutely no problem with the controls - I was missing and twitching a lot but it still felt... right, really. When I stopped, aimed down the sights and got a few headshots in they went down in two, when I was going for spray and pray I had no problem with the decrease in accuracy at all. I could see it missing totally when the crosshairs were white, striking home a lot more often when they were red.

Kane & Lynch all over again, basically. Calm down and think about what you're doing and there's no problem with the controls at all.

EDIT: Just to tone down the fanboy-gushing: Christ, the voice acting's pretty rough, eh? I do love the atmosphere - I always have, even in the first game - but I'm not crossing my fingers for much of a story.

I didn't expect it to be 1080p , hardly any PS3 titles are 1080 native from my experience.

^true. asking for 1080p is a bit much really.

That's not to say the game could be 40% better, because they'll be pushing the GPU and PPU as hard as they could get away with. So there is some to give, and new tricks will be learnt.
          Cheers for that Chain.
One thing that did make me chuckle was in the warehouse when I lobbed a nade at one of the gast and he shouted "you bastard" I`m sure another said "fu**" on another run.

You can force 1080p, hmm it looked good but after the hype i thought it was nice looking but the hype killed it for me. The sticks suck i just hate those sticks so lose too big a deadzone. Overall a good game from the demo and looking forward to the full game i think its hyped a bit too much mind.

I remember when talking about games was about the game the comments about all the techno babble, v sync etc blah blah blah are dull. It is a game. Yes well like things to lookgreat, but analysis paralysis is not needed IMHO.

Back to the game, I really enjoyed it and played through it a few times now. Great feel and atmoshere. It just feels 'right'. Love the mulitple control options and found one that was perfect for me. Would love to see more, just one level Multiplayer on the demo please!

Has gone from a rental to order for me as i wasn't expecting it to be this good.

Just downloaded it in around 10 minutes, I guess it's only the UK's awful network infrastructure that suffers from terrible download speeds...?

Anyway I just want to check before I play it that the demo doesn't add the trophy list to your profile (like Super Stardust did).. I don't want to have a gimped list if I end up not liking it! Can anyone confirm?

Not 100% but I don't think it was listed in my trophy list. Think Super Stardust would have been listed due to the way the file is handled as a PSN release.

Well, moment of truth as one of the more cautious about KZ2. Visually, it is a high benchmark. Some of the spot effects are eye catching (and holding) and going off the demo playthrough I'm already keen to crank up the difficulty. The character handlign took a bit of getting used to but was fine by the time of the end of the demo. Wiped it off my HDD now so I don't over play it before the release but it's sold itself to me. As for multiplayer, I'm still on the fence with the idea of it. I'm convinced it'll be good but I only have the time to commit to one online FPS and I'm not sure as yet whether it'll pull me off COD. But overall, it's eased a hell of a lot of concerns and now the biggest issue for me with the game is just that it's out so close to SFIV!

Set this to download last night and had a quick go this morning. Think I found all the ways to die in about 2 minutes, it was comedy phail of the highest order. Ran forward, picked up an enemy gun and was shot. Ran to cover, heard beeping and was blown up. Picked up launcher, fired and blew myself up. Ran over to heal teammate and was shot. Reloaded gun, enemy appeared infront of me, smacked me in the face and was shot.

Started to get my **** together in the warehouse but had to go to work. Gagging for another go so can't be bad.

I played the bloody thing a tonne last night! The more I played, the more I loved it, and the more the details came through. Alt 2 and Hold cover works for me, I am able to use two fingers on the left triggers (With the trigger extension it's a breese.)

The last room is packed full of hidden nades and of course ammo, and it is clear to me that the devs wanted people on the demo to try their hand at making bullet holes, blowing stuff up and enjoying the visuals.

A key improvement on the initial play through was the reduction of Gamma. Sure being darker covers up a few rough textures, but it also makes the game come across pretty much like CGI. The lighting effects are breathtaking, suit neon blues bounce of surfaces, muzzel flash is awesome etc.

So after my 10 or 11th playthrough I was still just loving the comabt, the actual gameplay shines when you take your time and use cover. This is a game that I will play on "Hard" first time, as I think that will provide the best enjoyment.

The attention to detail is above anything I've ever seen before. The shell casings, bullet holes, wind, dust from brick hits and sparks from metal all add to create an amazing immersion. Clear the areas and take your time exploring every cm of the small map. It's packed with detail and little alleyways that are full of bits and bobs you may never even notice.

The bar was set high & of course it isn't quite as good as CGI, but I have fallen completely under this games spell and I will no doubt do the same as Dead Space and take my time enjoying every last minute of the game, almost reluctantly moving on when I am 100% sure the area is clear.

Final point, I am so glad the AI have a set number of spawns. In order to have the feeling of slowly clearing each area, starting with controlled chaos and ending with surgically taking out the last of the tangos, it is essential not to have infinite respawns. 2 or 3 waves is fun! Make the ammo last and take em all out. It looks like you can just rush through if that's your thing, but that's not my bag.

Roll on release day, and boo hoo to the naysayers!

                          ^^^^ all of this x 100

So many games disappoint these days (that's what you get form playing games for as many years as I have I guess) but this does not. At all.

I also spent 5 minutes lobbing grenades in that last bit just to see what would blow up The grenades in this game are bloody awesome. I say to the naysayers - stop playing videogames. If you don't like this then there is something wrong with you and you should take up a new hobby*

*That's not meant to a personal attack, just trying to get across my level of enthusiasm!
