It's totally up to you but if you're a fan I think you should put some time in. Get yourself online with people from the forum and play around a bit...

I've tried online and it won't connect to any game. Never have issues with any other title.

I just feel that after all the hype and people saying it's the best thing since ever that it's a bit, no a LOT of a let down.

Right Im blowing hot and cold on this. Just had an afternoon sesh and I won my first 4 games then lost 7 in a row .

My stick nearly went out the window , and there is now alot of spammers out there using cheap moves all the time with Ken and Bison.

Im now down to 540 pts I think from over a thousand in 7 games. The game punishes you heavily for losing I think more so than for winnning .

Taking a break to get rid of my rage and hopefully back to a winning streak next time. .

Tip: dont play anyone from Asia - the standard is far too good esp Japan.

I think the points are weighted based on the BP score of who it is you're playing. So you'll lose lots by losing to someone with a lower BP than you and gain lots by beating someone with a better score.

If you need to gee yourself up for your next battle, close your eyes, think of Ryu and listen to the theme tune on full blast over and over again - you'll feel indestructible. I fecking guarantee it!

It sounds like the online points scoring is similar to DOA4's. You lose more points from losing to someone with a lower ranking than you than you do losing to someone with a higher ranking. If you're a god at the arcade machine, your ranking for the first few matches is going to be too low.

It'll level out.

Has anyone seen any fightpads on the high street? I've got a stick of course but I'd like one of the pads for late-night SF-ing (household tends to complain of the noise when I'm waggling the joystick at night)

Managed to unlock Akuma using Ryu and getting 2 perfect rounds with no Ultra Combo finishes

i picked this up in my lunch hour today from ASDA for cheap and look forward to loading it up. please feel free to add me to your friends lists for an extremely easy winning streak as i haven't touched a similar game since the snes and even then only knew around three moves for three characters...and yup, that was ryu, ken and sagat same move inputs.

looking in to the possibility of picking up a pad, although i like the look of the akuma one, conveniently not available over here as i understand it. would like a stick but struggling to justify the expense for one game

Yes any. Throw it on Easiest, 1 round, 99 time and rinsse the Psycho Crusher of M.Bison.

Psycho Crusher - Charge back (2 sec-ish), Forward + P (Go with HP)

Bison Ultra - With Revenge meter flaming and saying ULTRA (make sure opponent only has a smidge and a bit of vitalilty), Charge back (2 sec-ish), Forward, Back, Forward and all 3 kicks.
