Don't know if anyone else has noticed but Big Seany and myself were having some matches the other night, and we were on the stage with the plane that Balrog (boxer) usually pops his head out of, but I had picked Balrog, and instead Vega (claw) appeared! It's the little touches like this that make me smile.

I think if you play Vega Vs Balrog on that stage, Bison appears in the plane as well.

Am I the only one with tunnel vision when they play games? I don't notice anything that isn't immediately important to the action.

I only noticed most of the background cool stuff I know about when watching my mates play a few weeks back. When I'm actually playing the game I also have the tunnel vision unless the match doesn't require my full concentration (i.e. playing someone who's a bit crap).

Give me a match, you'll beat me without concentrating one bit!

I have the PS3 version, more than willing to accept challenges when I'm online.

I'm finding my way with Balrog at the moment. Can't really pull off anything fancy with him (Struggling with the challenges that go from special to super, although I have some tips I need to try out), but I have a good grasp of the basics at the moment.

Yeah I was surprised with Balrog, he's actually pretty decent from facing a few people playing as him. Still a reasonable amount of turtling going on though (headbutt if I try to jump in, charge dash through fireballs as reaction) but a couple of people did try proper offence.
Lie with passion and be forever damned...

Headbutt seems like one of the few reliable anti-air moves he has (As long as you get the strength right, as it amends the trajectory of the move) - I tend to rely on that for people jumping in at me as well. It has a huge long startup though, so the timing initially is tricky.

I don't use the charge punch that much. As long as you get the timing right he's more than capable of jumping over incoming projectiles - and both the j.FP and j.FK have a surprising reach on them as well. EX headbutt has a really low trajectory as well as a high distance, it's nice way to punish fireballs as long as you're not a full screen apart.

You can go from dash punch to super by quickly repeating the input once. The dash punch counts towards the super input so you just need to press back then forward and punch again to cancel it into super.

Yeah, that's the tip I've been meaning to check out.

It works for other characters with charge supers, so I should expect it'll work for 'rog as well...

one thing i found usefull for balrog....his anti air headbutt thing if you do it by charging down/back then do up/back FP....its easy to chain his ultra after

eastyy, does the ultra hit them while they're falling down? Does it need to be the EX headbutt or will the regular one do?
