      Well, being able to absorb an extra hit is the difference from getting in and not. Arguably, that is what EX moves are best used for. Also, it only uses one EX bar for both moves (as it is an unintentional glitch, supposedly).

      Wargame: The armour-cancels are very difficult to pull off consistently. It is a neat trick, but I wonder how many people will work it into their game. Though saying that there are quite a few situations that this can be applied to. At the moment I can think of it being an answer to a jump-in. Armour cancel the jump-in and cancel into ultra to punish, for example.

        Hey if you ever played 3rd strike people were doing really tricky stuff with parrying, getting good players to work this in can't be that hard, says the man that can't even pull it of (yet).

          Balrog has like a dozen ways to get around fireballs, one must mix them up. EX rush-upper can easily be linked into say, c.jp c.jk - headbutt for a nice knockdown. Not sure I'd ultra off that though unless you had them all but down, damage scaling will kick in a bit too hard. - Very much worth the EX.

          Turn punch goes through them with decent timing - though don't try it at long distances or you're gonna eat a dragon punch or tiger knee if you're playing anyone half decent.

          Headbutt still works, but it isn't so hot, compared to super turbo.

          FADC of course!

          And lastly, neutral jump fierce punch. You can tap the stick a little left or right to control direction so 'rog just inches forward. Not as good as it was in ST again, but it's still nice and beats a lot of stuff in the air.

            This isn't really the same thing as parry was for 3rd Strike. Everyone can parry in 3S. Not everyone has armoured EXs, for example. Also, parrying was significantly less complicated to input in 3S. For the armour-cancel trick, you have to do motions for a whole move within this ridiculously small time-frame. I'm not saying it can't be done by good players, I just wonder whether, after the initial novelty, it won't be seen as more of a parlour trick in light of other more efficient options.

            And I'm still saying this is an unintended bug (on the account that one EX bar is consumed if cancelling into a 2nd EX, and no super bar is lost if cancelling into an ultra), so who's to say this won't be patched out?

            Time will tell, I suppose.

                      Don't know exactly what combo you're trying to do but for those attacks to hit you have to perform a crunching focus attack - so either a level 2 or 3 focus attack. You will have to dash out of the focus attack, so double tap forward as the focus hits and then press your >HP

                              Quick question: does the Prima strategy guide for this have character combo lists? I tried to look at one in Lame yesterday but the buggers had security sealed all their books >_<
