      i take back some of my comments from before, this is a different game with the fightpad and its worth every penny !

      I know its not much but i've been doing ultra and super combo things, never managed one of them before !

          Still waiting on mine. I think it's offset somehow by receiving Demon's Souls from NCSX a day or so early.

            i have played a few matches had a few people quit on me ...and some were just disconnects

            there are some cheesy players online ...with cheap tactics ...but however thats the nature of the game but i wish there would be something to show cheap players....i have noticed cheap players have really poor grades at the end of a match

            I wish the lobby and finding online games was improved though....its annoying when i find a Good connection game ...and unable to play ...also i wish there was a quick rematch option when i create a match play a game then have to repeat again

            Still its one of the best fighting games i have played in years ...the challenge mode is a good idea but some of the combos are just not practical in a real match

              You can rematch on player matches. It sounds like they've made it so you can't replay the same player in ranked in an effort to stop people farming BP that way?

                There was a slightly nice idea on Pro Evo 2009 online. An icon of a football next to players names. The ball icon would deflate the more they disconnected from matches. Maybe something like that could be done for SFIV. For disconnects and maybe ratings, although the way someone plays doesn't bother me.

                  I need a little expert (or probably just mid-level spanner actually) help please.

                  I'm trying to do the challenges where it starts to get you to string specific moves rather than just singles together, with Ken its saying to do a hard kick then a hadoken, I never seem to be able to string the hadoken after the HK, guessing its a timing thing but I seem to either go to early and get nothing or throw a fireball but its too late and doesn't register.

                  advice happily received please

                      this may come across as a bit noobish but how do you get the fireball to come out so quickly after a HK, my guy seems to finish the animation off for the HK before I can throw a fireball, are you inputting the QCF + P as soon as the HK connects ?

                        Can't be certain right now unless I try it myself, but there is a little slightly helpful timing meter which could help you determine the amount of time you have to pull off the next move. When you land a hit, you'll notice two little glowing lines wrapped around your opponent's vital meter. Try to execute your next move before the lines disappear off the vital bar.

                          Basically, what I do is tap the HK and immediately do the QCF+P afterward. The aim is to complete the fireball motion before or just as the kick lands.

                          Not sure if you know this already, but this is known as cancelling a move. What's happening is that you're interrupting the animation of the HK (in this case, that of the leg coming back down) with a special move.

                            i had a vague idea it'd be something like that, thanks for the advice

                            I've been putting the moves in too slowly, got thru the level with 2 moves and then got a bit stuck on the one with 3 now !

                              I'm not sure about Ken specifically as I've never used him, but a lot of cancel moves you can do the stick movements and sneak the extra button press in quickly before pressing the button for the special move. For example, say the challenge was to do a HK followed by a QCF+P move. You could do the QCF but press HK first and the P immediately afterwards. This is especially helpful if you're using a pad rather than a stick.

                                Yeah, SFIV is quite lenient with inputs like that. I also don't know if it works as well with Ken specifically though...
