From what I can tell, they've pretty much said it's not gonna happen.

I can smell a "Street Fighter IV Ultimate Edition" before the year is out, raping us of cash for that very lobby system.

For me, SFIV is a 9/10 purely because they failed us with the lobbies. Every time I play it, it hurts me.

Once again the anti-Ken whiner whiners seem to have missed the point.

The problem (for anyone half decent anyway) has never been because he's cheap (he isn't) or overpowered (he's a middling character at best) it's the fact that too many times your online sessions can become incredibly repetitive as 9 times out of 10 you have to deal with and counter the same tactics over and over and over again. It's dull, repetitive and unless you're playing a Ken player who actually knows their stuff, incredibly easy.

I've heard it said that blocking low in this is quite difficult online because of the (admittedly tiny) lag. I have seen people exploiting this with Blanka by using that annoying slide tackle thing he does constantly until you die

Once the tier list is established, the character selection will become all the more predictable with mostly everyone picking the top tier characters. That's what killed 3rd Strike for me - it made for some repetitive and boring match ups.

If anyone picks Ken (and it still happens a fair bit, I'd say currently about half my online matches are against him), I take a round to figure out if he's actually any good or not, and then steam in or hold back as appropriate. Usually more cautious about every other character though

I'm loving Player Matches at the moment. I'm going deep into Japan for my matches getting my willy pulled through my legs, behind me, up my back and slapped on the back of the head. It's great. I've won some, I've lost loads.

It's just great to sit back and have a go using a wide variety of characters. I'm bored of the Ranked Matches.

What's the lag like, playing the Japanese types? I haven't bothered trying as I thought there'd be no point. I played a few Japanese guys on 2DF and it was really laggy (walking through my fireballs and the like). I'd like to try as I'd hopefully get free Japanese lessons, too :P
