There's a nice high quality Quicktime 640x480 one on IGN too.

I also concur that it doesn't sound like G-Man. Sounds like Breen to me.

      Bloody hell!

I've just noticed, thanks to that lovely large trailer over at Gametrailers, that it's raining on the streets of (what I'm assuming for now is) City 17.

      Nice *dribble*

GameFAQs (who are mostly reliable when it comes to release dates) and a few other places have the Xbox version's date due for October 17th.

There's a relatively newish trailer for the Xbox version here (though it seemed to only download 5mb worth for me):

Game Informer is your source for the latest in video game news, reviews, previews, podcasts, and features.

Hopefully, the Xbox will be pushed to its limits and those of us who haven't been able to for long periods will get to play the game smoothly at last. If you check out the GameFAQ's Half-Life 2 Xbox board, someone seems to have (naughtily) posted a recent interview with Jay Stelly, just in case people think it's gone a bit quiet.

don't know if this should go in here but steam news just told me about what looks like some sort of bizarre mod, called kung fu ragdolls or something and you seem to click and drag their legs to attack enemys. reminds me of kung fu chaos anyway looks quite fun i watched the trailer but it said something about paying to get it

            Yeah it's this one

He's been developing it for ages as a personal project. It always looked a fun idea, but not enough to pay for it.

              More new pics

For further pics you can go to 1Up

As you can see from those screens Alyx plays a key part and according to the article that goes with those screens, this time she accompanies Gordon the whole time.

Also it says that the game will resolve some questions, but will also create new ones (so expect another cliffhanger ending) and will be a pivitol part of the HL2 story (rather than an aside like Shepherd's adventure)

There's also a bit in there about The Lost Coast.

Wow looks great, is there any idea when either this or Lost Coast are gonna be out?

Still not finished HL2 though, just got onto 'Our Benefactors' now. Level before it was ace, fighting all the striders in the streets. Love this game to pieces!

Aint touched this or Counter Strike for a good while now butam really looking forward to this new adventure. Finished the campaign mode and it is without doubt one of the best FPS adventures out there.

The whole battle along the beach with the ant lions under your command... far too good and as Rosco said the Strider battles in the city are top drawer gaming.

Rosco, you gotta get through the whole story mode mate, the finale will bow your head off and totally agree the urban battles toward the end are one my gaming highlights this year.

They're staying tight lipped at the moment but it'll apparently be out before the end of this year. Take that with a pinch of salt though as Valve are crap with release dates

The 1Up article is part of a week long feature. Maybe we'll find out the end of this week? :crosses fingers:

                          More tidbits from HL2.net

                          # Lost Coast explains how Ravenholm became overrun with headcrabs.

                          # Aftermath includes new AI for the Rebels and 'collaborative action'.

                          # The Hydra, cut from the game since its demo at E3 2003, may well return in future titles.

                          # Valve want a new HL2 episode every 3 months and a seasonal box set of them for 56kers.

                          # Steam has been completely rearchitectured, and we are all 'running two versions of it': Steam 2.0 and 3.0 alongside each other.

                          # The second episode, following Aftermath, focuses on vehicles.

So they're already thinking past Aftermath

For me, the best thing they could do is put the Hydra in somewhere. The glimpse of that thing in the E3 demo's and thinking about what would happen next really baked my noodle at the time.

CGW mag (which some people have recieved early on subscription) are doing a big piece on the HL2 progression.

They're saying Lost Coast should be out by the time people read the mag (which given some people have recieved their copy two weeks from the street date means Lost Coast should be here around that time).

Shame my GFX card can't handle it

What's the min spec for Lost Coast?

Surely it cant be that much of a difference from the core HL2?
