bit disappointing, just finished the career of my heavyweight chap, 'big nasty'.

finished by regaining the title with a stunning KO of Brock Lesnar, went thru the end sequence & game credits then nothing, not an achievement or anything ! so you can have 10 gamerpoints for smacking somebodies mouthshield 3m but nowt for ending a glorious career as champ ?

I got into it again with a new char yesterday after being hooked on Infamous for a week. Was on RF but thats a game I cant play for more than couple of hours at atime. Was going to try RF online but my net was down so thought Id go on this. Bam next thing I know Id basically spent 8 and half hours and day was gone with only an hours break.

Only thing that bugs me are the menu systems and subs (for 1p). Menu needs a good tidy and less button presses to get rid of emails and add sponsors to shorts. Also the training camps need to tell you when their due and not leave it down to luck not to skip em.

Subs ingame well the AI cheats when you use experienced or above. They can win in quite usual circumstances as you would expect with a sub attempt but if you try against AI and it has energy it wont work no matter how bad they are at sub defence.

Apart from that I love it though very moreish and Im enjoying it more than SFIV.

Absolutly detest the menus, that and the saving. I can understand why it would take a while to save, but do you have to reading load and save mulitple times because of the Create A Fighter. Surely it could have been optimized, it happens alot too especially when your dedicating yourself to sparring towards the end of a career.

Hopefully this will be fixed for the next one. As i love the game, it suprisingly refreshing and addictive to play. Then it looses its momemtum taking me out of it with the loadscreen of UFC2009 and saving.

I finished it last night without loosing the belt in the 20 fights i had left.... You don't get an achievement for finishing it if anyone was wondering, you get one if you finish it in all weight classes.

Does it tell you somewhere that you only have x amount of fights left till they retire you?

Ive just won my first champ on middle weight (chose that class as friends on PS3 are playing in that weight division when I can get online with it). Ive struggled abit for about 3 losses as soon as Id get near rank 5 Id get my head kicked in on experienced. I just said stuff it and did the next two entire fight upcomings to full strength and stamina (they where about 60ish) and once Id got them both to around 87 and 82 (they start dropping other stats when you get to 80 ie do more speed and it drops the other two) and it seems to have helped alot and won 5 matches in a row after that.

I like it alot so much so its kept me off RF and cant see any probs upping the difficulty again and doing new chars.

Finally got a copy of this on Friday from Gameplay & I'm loving it.

Spent most of the weekend just getting to grips with the controls & all the technical aspects but it's an awesome game.

My bro came round last night & went through the tutorials himself before a spot of 2-player & some of the fights were epic.

I do think the career mode could do with some tweaking...I think being able to train your fighter yourself instead of just being able to select what you do would be far better but hopefully they will sort that out next time round.

Love the presentation & the fight build up.

Sad I took so long to get in on the action but glad I finally did...it's fantastic

To make the game easy (I finished my 2nd CAF this time on 360 so done 3 in total one deleted then Judo/KB on PS3 at 100 middle weight 2 matches lost then last night 360 light heavy 102 BJJ KB 1 match lost) when you create a fighter put THQ logos on the shorts for each slot then dont bother with em again. Also never read any emails as you dont need em. This saves quite abit of time.

It its abit broken though. Game basically says to you if you want to play for online you have to play rubbish easy mode to get a descent stat CAF. If you want to play properly you get penailised at the higher level for having a bad stat CAF (reason I deleted my first one on pro). On easy I beat every AI on matches with less than 30% stamina on the fights. Ive even beat em on 3% and had the stamina rise to 30% AFTER the match!

Top game though just needs a few tweaks to make it best fighter made.

If you're on about the training, then yeah, you can't do that... but if you mean learning new skills then yes, you do take part in those. But it's easy to miss if you just skip pass the week.

Yea their very easy to skip as they dont stop for them (octagon on the week). Its easiest to do ground ones first as well before the AI goes up levels.

The patch is up for this that fixes disconnects, flash ko frequency and balance for subbing CPU opponents.
