I'm hating this game right now.
I cant get hold of planes as theres guys constantly hanging around for them.
I snipe a guy who's dug down & hit him with 3 shots & he still doesnt die - this always seems to happen btw, & whenever I'm sniped it seems to be a 1 hit kill.
The sporn locations either mean that u have to dive straight in & possibly get killed as soon as you've sporned or u have to sporn miles away in order to survive.

A lot of guys just seem to suddenly pop up on the screen, which is too late for me to react & I get my arse kicked

I truely appreciate your help matey but in all honesty with my knowledge that may as well be written in Arabic !! I have taken a look at my router and it would seem it's a D Link DIR 301, quite what I do now is beyond me but my friend should be free around half five so I'll just leave it till then.

If you put this: 192.168.0.1. into your address bar at the top of your web browser (where you would normally type www. for a website), a pop up box should open up. Hopefully you know your login details, by default your router login details should be username 'admin', for the password just leave it empty.

Once you've logged in I don't know what to do from there, but if you follow Dazzyman (i'm sure he knows what he's doing):

Tick upnp to open the ports and way you go. You can also put exceptions in to keep certain ports always open but vast majority of routers out their upnp will be fine. Ticking upnp usuall sorts strict/moderate nat settings out as well.

If not then your mate will do it easily enough, but you may be able to get it working earlier and show him you know some things as well.

If your looking for a easy way instead of doing all the port forwarding, you could always enter the ip address of your 360 or PS3 in the DMZ section of your router. Be warned though this makes it available to anything outside of your home network. But with it being a games machine, not much wrong with that.

Loving this apart from when it doesn't award me kills. I basically just play my own game variation which involves planting charges on bridges etc. and then sniping from a bush until a jeep comes along and then blowing the bridge (not exactly a tram player lol). It never seems to get old! But, sometimes I don't get awarded the kill in these scenarios. I'm not that bothered, it's watching the jeep explode and everybody on fire that is me real reward but it would be nice if the kills registered as well. Anyone know how they work out who gets awarded the kill?

precisely what I do.

Tried the port forwarding then the dmz fix and neither gave me any joy hell i even went for a direct connection this game just doesn't want to let me connect.

I just kept trying the demo until it worked. Haven't really had any problems since I bought it, other than being pretty ****e at it.

Have you tested your Live settings to see if you have an open NAT?

Done from the 360 dashboard. If it comes up with no message, you are okay. If it is moderate or strict, it will warn you.

And the 360 is uPNP, so if your router is uPNP and you have that option switched on, it should work.

Yup no warnings and I've got got a Belkin n1 router and uPNP switched on, just get the constant cant connect to ea servers.

I know now its not my set up as i bypassed everything and plugged the modem straight into the back of the xbox and still got the same results.

What annoys me is i don't have this problem on any other game. The net code for this must be really shoddy, and with the length of time it takes them to fix net code for these games being a year plus in some cases, (castle crashers im looking at you) i don't hold out much hope for being able to play this game this year

This might not work but I couldnt reach the EA servers to upload video in FN4, though I could play online fine. I tried for over a week and gave up until I saw a post by another guy having a similar problem with Tiger Woods.

He cleared the cache on his 360 HDD and that fixed it. No idea how/why but I've done the same and straight away it fixed my connection issues to the EA servers. I guess try that? No harm done if it doesnt work.

I too still even can't connect to the EA servers. I've had a friend who works in IT come round tonight and open up all the ports that EA sugest, change a few other bit's n bobs that may have been causing issues (though all other games have always been fine) and even de militerise (I'm pretty sure that's what he called it) something or another and as a long shot also cleared the cache. It's completly beyond him as to what it could be so now I'm going to register my problem / gamertag location / game version on the EA forum where I see that aprox 250 people are having similar issues .

god it hate EA with a passion why's it always just their games with crap connections and stuff, well again there's ne EA servers on PS3, it's my day off and i want to play it NOW , feel really sorry for the other guys on 360 who haven't even had a game, why does EA think they can do it better, i wish DICE never tied up with EA.
