I know this may seem like a stupid question, but whats the difference between the trial and the full game? seeing as i seem to be ranking up on the trial and there is only one island available anyway at the moment? has the full game got more options, game types, etc??

Now (some of!) the connection issues have been sorted out I've really been enjoying this.

I'm usually the rifle guy running about Rambo stylee and capturing flags but last night I decided to try the sniper out for a bit. It took a while for me to start getting kills with that sniper rifle (hard to hit a moving target and you only seem to get one shot kills by getting headshots!) but it was great fun. Sneaking around enemy bases taking out the people constantly waiting for plane respawns was particularly entertaining!

The only difference is that the demo is time limited to half an hour. After that half hour runs out, you will have to buy the game in-order to play it again.

Ive probably clocked up about 2 hours in total on the jap trial so far? and im always able to follow the games as they end and restart?

2 hours?! Maybe the Japanese demo is slightly different?

Not entirely sure. I would imagine that your XBL tag is recorded on EA servers when you use the demo, thus stopping you from replaying the demo once it has expired. However, could be worth a go if you've not forked out for the full thing yet.

Really enjoying this, but after playing on both the PS3 and 360 versions, anyone else get really bad lag on the 360 version? I'll be jumping over a wall and then I'll be put back to the position I jumped from and soldiers disappear etc. It makes it almost impossible when flying the plane.

I too still even can't connect to the EA servers. I've had a friend who works in IT come round tonight and open up all the ports that EA sugest, change a few other bit's n bobs that may have been causing issues (though all other games have always been fine) and even de militerise (I'm pretty sure that's what he called it) something or another and as a long shot also cleared the cache. It's completly beyond him as to what it could be so now I'm going to register my problem / gamertag location / game version on the EA forum where I see that aprox 250 people are having similar issues .

Try creating an id on the official Bf1943 website and then link your gamertag to it. You may be able to connect after doing this... a few people on the Eurogamer site had the same issue and this solved it.

Not long until Coral Sea!

I need a win on Iwo Jima for the win on each map Achievement and I need to be in the top squad on Iwo Jima and Wake Island for that Achievement. I assume when Coral Sea is unlocked it will not count towards those Achievements and they are only for the active maps at time of release.

Ok so Ive been playing this for the past 3 days and I still haven't had a match on Wake Island!? It's annoying the he'll out of me. Last night I had six games in a row on Guadalcanal... :/
