I'd say yes. The controller is great and perfect for playing the game with.

Through the hell that is Alat sleepbombing rooms I found another half decent mob to fiiinally get enough tails to start making the Dark Claw. Jeez, normal Skypiercers are a cinch compared...

I know i'm late to the hunt but i grab Tri as part of the gift card i got for christmas am planning on getting started on this tonight any tip for setting up a player would be helpful

Theres no real tip for setting up a player as there isnt really anything to set up when you start the game.

The only tip you can give anyone with monster hunter is to have patience becuase it will take you a heck of a long time (Im talking possibley hundreds of hours) to fully complete the game (if you ever even manage it).

Good luck, Ive obviously been playing other games but Ive had since release and put around 130 hours into it so far and still have stuff to do (though I have been grinding monster quite alot becuase Ive wanted to make every suit of armour, which Im nowhere near doing yet).

BTW I will say that if youve never played a Monster Hunter game before a good starting tip is to go with the sword and shield as your weapon (at least until the longsword is avaliable to you which will be a good while yet).

The Sword and Shield are the easiest weapons to get to grips with and are alot easier to manuver about with than most other weapons. I feel its better to move onto different and stronger types once youre comfertable with the way it plays.

I think Jimtendo and I have about 400 hours a piece on the NA version and still haven't gotten every piece of amour/weapon. On the JPN version I have another 400 hours...*cough*no life*cough*
