Personally I think if you are playing Bioshock and complaining about the chambers, you've totally missed the point of the game.

Well no, I got the point, the point was that it wasnt even really a game, more an "experience", but I wanted a game, so found it disapointing.

I played the demo today. Graphically amazing but I'm not impressed tbh. Cameras dodgy as hell. Seems a lot like the Bourne game that came out. Think I'll wait til it drops to a tenner in a few months

The Demo isnt that good an example of the game, its not even the start of the game so much, its random bits thrown together. Its also nothing like and ALOT better than the Bourne game (though I did like that well enough), so I'd check it out if I were you.

The camera is also virtualy perfect in this.

No way is the camera perfect in Batman! If you use the underground glass roofed areas, the camera sometimes goes above ground and you can't even SEE B-Man!

Don't get me wrong, this is a really good game! I just can't help but feel the Uber-Hype is working wonders again. It's a great game, defo a 8 or 9 outta 10 for me, but people are calling game of the year and it's August.

Dunno why peeps have to compare different genres to justify if one game is good or bad anyway again dunno what the chuff Bioshock has to compare to Batman other than their both good games as their different genres entirely pml For me a game should be good or bad on its own merit doesnt matter whats come before it.

Camera aint great on this I had to stop on the outside section just now for 30min break as it sways abit, can be hard to find an area and so thefore gave me motion sickness. Loving every minute of it though

Becuase IMO a game should have more too it than Bioshock had, "gaming" magazines and internet sites gave it scores like 10/10, as a result I feel its overated.

I'm just stating my opinion, I didnt realise I had to drop my opinion becuase you dont agree?. People were asking me why I thought Bioshock was overrated and worse than Batman, I was telling them why, thats what happens when you discuss things. If you consider me replying to be brow beating them, then you must also have read that they asked me to do it..

As someone who plays a heck of alot of games I can safley reply by saying "what?!!!"

Despite the fact that you said the mechanics should be better, yet then went on to say they are better than in other games, thats not even what got to me...

This really is the best game Ive played in years, so the very fact that you only say its worth 8 out of 10 insults my intellgence, nevermind the fact that Bioshock was trumendously overrated, not containing close to an ounce of the type of exciting, varied, fun, and challenging gameplay this has.

See a doctor. or at least play more games, maybe you should try playing Urban Chaos too before you start mouthing off again, as i didnt think it was that bad at all. It actualy had great level design, as this game does too. Some of the best Ive ever seen in fact. These guys know their stuff.

Its not just them m8 though it seems to be anyone that dont agree. Pages worth and its not about Batman lol

Well we're going to have to agree to disagree mate. If I could only have one of the two, I'd probably pull my pants down and lay a fu*king great big cable on the desk in protest of such a ludicrous suggestion.

Batman kinda gets it easy though, the fiction is already there, the fans are already there...they just had to make a good game. Bioshock was a new IP, from scratch they had to create the world, the fiction, the gameplay, the ideas were not there for them to explore, they created it all.

I've not played a game with atmosphere as good as Bioshock before or after, though this approaches it. For me this is a really really good game, but it has faults like the camera, I actually even think the riddler stuff is a bit too much and causes distractions too often. It has some design that I find a bit obvious, you are continuously walking past "hidden" things that you think "Hmm, I guess I'll be back here later then with a new toy so I can get that".

Like I said, it's a high 8/10 for me, maybe even a 9, but it's not the flawless game of the decade it's being made out to be in my opinion. It's a very, very good game indeed.

I will say though, saying things like "Bioshock wasn't really a game, it was an experience" kinda makes you look a bit silly. It's most definitaly a game, and a game that was universally (except you) praised as being one of the best games of the generation.

I agree, Bioshock is my favourite game of this generation so far. As for Batman: Arkham Asylum, I still think it is a quality game (not flawless) and a early contender for game of the year (still got Modern Warfare 2 to come!). It might not reach the heights of Bioshock but it certainly does provide a great gaming experience.
