Why does everybody just use single figures? Percentages please so by that Demon's Souls is a 9/10? Is Demon 's Souls as good as Uncharted 2, not IMO, uncharted 2 is 96 odds and Demon 's Souls 90, that way there no ambiguities about the better game, Rooks.
p.s Demon 's Souls is still a fantastic game just not as good as Uncharted 2.

I just use single figures because I'd put them both in roughly the same ballpark. Excellent, excellent games that fall a few steps short of (near) perfection. From can't hope to match Naughty Dog's technical knowhow but they're just as atmospheric in their own way and from a gameplay point of view their mechanics and level design are almost as good, even - arguably - more innovative (though the moving scenery, Christ... I could accept that pushes U2 some way ahead ;-) ). Eh, they're both great, no denying that.

I don't want to imply I think Uncharted 2 doesn't deserve the praise it's been getting, by the way. I can pick out - and talk about - the faults in something and still enjoy what it gets right, and Uncharted 2 gets a whole lot right.

EDIT: Huh, they are owned by Sony? What's the technical term for that? They're not third party, right?

First day figures for Japan was impressive at 46,000 units, which was noted if you take into account against first day Uncharted launch 7,300 it was 600&#37; up.

UK charts are out tomorrow, see how it does all formats always a good sign for a single platform game, it is up against the FIFA monster though.

and climbed up the hotel, AWESOME , my god the graphics and draw distance is just jaw dropping, spent 10 minutes just looking at everything, then jumped in pool and got wet, stayed wet another nice animation touch

AWESOME GAME.
p.s Uncharted 2 cost 16 million ($20 million ) to make, so 1 million X say 40 quid average=40 million , naughty dog and Sony are rich.

it says something like 562 kills but only 553 were in a row without failing?

Yet underneath it says checkpoints restarted/failed etc and reads 0

Do the enemies killed in the pre borneo flashbacks, Like the museum guards and that train guy not count?

Okay, the ending redeems it, but... they really need to learn how to do bosses.

Just finished the game and I couldn't agree more. The first game was bad enough but to have the boss fight in this ending a game that was full of fantastic setpieces it was a real shame they didn't put something better together.

I mean, obviously it's still an amazing game, but seriously, ND? This is the best you could do? Pretty much guarantees I'm not even going to bother attempting the game on the harder difficulty levels, because if this was a lesser game I'd be on the point of giving up right now. Yes, seriously.

I'm pretty sure Naughty Dog are third-party, they just seem to like their arrangement with Sony. For... some reason.

Naughty Dog's owned by Sony. Insomniac has the type of arrangement that you're talking about, though.

Naughty Dog = first party (owned by platform holder)
Insomniac = third party (independent but makes first-party games as they're published by the platform holder)

And no was on Normal which felt harder then uncharted 1's Normal
