There was a YouTube comment for the "kitty got wet" clip from the press conference with someone saying "that new chick is MILF-tastic" (or words to that effect). I was sitting there thinking 'Christ, if he hasn't discovered Farscape yet he's in for a pleasant surprise'.

Just completed the game for my first run on Hard. I died around 200 times, stretching out the completion time to 12 and a half hours,(90 minutes of standing still supposedly!) but I didn't once feal cheated or frustrated. I loved it. There were so many highlights but it's getting late & I'll post them tomorrow. I'll be looking to replay it again in the next few days plus my other half has expressed an interest in sitting through the cut-scenes (91 minutes in total i think!) too as she was away when I started it & didn't want to watch me play the game half-way in. You don't think I was supposed to wait a couple of days til she was free before I started, do you?

Managed to get a couple of co-op games in last night with randoms anyway. First one went really well on The Village, managed to complete it without too much fuss. Then did The Sanctuary, but there were only two of us and we failed - there's a part where you're traversing some beams high up and getting shot at... we both died before we could get across. Not sure if perhaps you have to trigger the enemy spawn then drop back to take them out before continuing. :/

Is that after the part where you have a gatling gun soldier with a couple of the heavily armored guys pinning you down from above? You then have to climb the tower as the door is blocked? Managed it with a friend by

having one person provide cover using the sniper rifles at the base of the tower as the first person climbs. Then when the first person reaches the summit, they use the sniper rifle there to provide cover as the second guy climbs.

Yeah I figured that might be necessary, but the other guy didn't have a headset to coordinating it would have been difficult. I'll be online at 22:00 tonight for a couple of hours if anyone is on and fancies some co-op.

Did another 2 chapters last night easily and just arrived in Nepal so expecting a difficulty hike soon. Picked up playing through U1 again as well bit by bit, you can tell the difference but it still looks snazzy.

Complete a few co-op arena games and you'll rocket up in no time. I made $38,000 finishing a co-op survival game last night. A typical competitive match nets on average a tenth of that.

I think one of the reasons for this is that medals seem to contribute alot to your rewards in competitive matches. If for some reason you can't get into the flow of a game, or it simply goes too quickly, your cash at the end can be fairly measely. On the other hand, it's easier to achieve medals in the co-op games as the AI is more predictable than humans and there are much more of them.

This might all just be me, but at rank 20 it's the impression I've came away with so far.
