To be fair it's not a million miles away from most of the posts in the Uncharted 2 review thread which basically say the game is awesome and deserves a higher score without any real analysis as to why.

Except my posts, i actualy say why....

Though to be fair its hard to descibe why the game is so brilliant which is probabaly why the review text failed to do it justice, its mainly down to the fact that everything about it is just done so much better than what has ever been done before in the genre.

I think the one being pathetic here is YOU. I didn't like the game, i mentioned VERY briefly why i didn't like it...but i don't see a need to prove to ppl why I am entitled to dislike the game...it would have just become a like vs dislike camp.

Stop being an asswipe for a second and use your mental faculty for the right reasons.

3rd playthrough started now to mop up last few treasures (stupidly missed a couple the 2nd time around).

Still my favourite game. I'm still flicking the right stick to survey the vistas and they still take my breath away! It's going to be a while before this stops being impressive.

I can see why some people might not like it but that's not going to stop me recommending it to every customer who comes in to buy a PS3.

I do think, though, that calling other forum members "asswipes" is a little out of line. Just sounds a bit like spoiling for an argument!

I've just finished this. Very enjoyable, apart from when you are forced to face wave after wave of bullet sponge enemies. I didn't really enjoy the gunplay, and the fact that the enemy can always seem to hit you with a grenade with pin point accuracy.

All the people who are say it's the best looking game ever, are you playing it in 1080p? I played it in 720, and while it looked good I wouldn't say it was jaw dropping or anything like that.

The voice acting, characters and script (is that the right word?) are absolutely superb. I'd agree that that part of it is the best in a game that I've ever played.

Actually i acused you of it becuase you said the EXACT oposite to what virtualy everyone else on this thread has said and seemed to be just baiting people, just like you were probabaly trying to do by calling me names in the post i just quoted.

Anyway I still think its a stunning looking game. I think one of the main reasons is that Naughty Dog playtest their games so much that all visual glitches that seem to appear in other games hardly ever rear their head in theirs, and so the visuals just have that extra bit of polish over most.

I played it in 720p on a 1080p TV (Pioneer plasma, I always stick with the native resolution through the PS3) and I have no hesitation at all in saying it's the most graphically stunning game I've ever played.

Umm not at all the game is solid as a rock, I havent experienced any freezes in almost 4 playthroughs, maybe your laser is on the way out?

No, my laser is fine. 36 of my other 37 titles run fine. I recall having the same freezing with the first Unchartered title. My unit obviously doesn't like these games. Chapter 5 froze 8 times right at the cut scene where Chloe shoots the truck with the RPG. Luckily I am past it now and have saved right at the start of chapter 6. Still it's annoying, and I've already shelved the game because of it.

Thats a massive shame, one of the most impressive things about the game is how smooth and slick the whole thing is (no load times whatsoever once youre playing and the melding of cutscenes and gameplay is outstanding and like nothing else). There are no techincal problems witch it whatsoever. Like you say it must be your machine, but it is a real shame anyway.

I'm up to chapter 6 and its pretty cool, I am thinking its an 8 so far though (omg I am agreeing with the review), I don't know why but I'm not digging it as much as the first, maybe I'm spoiled. I feel like I'm just going through the motions on it, its fun though of course. Probably the best console graphics I've seen to date too, the town scene just looks incredible. Borneo was pretty green and lush too.

To be fair the game has barely started, you haven't experienced any of the "amazing" moments yet.

It seems to be running smoother now. I left it running for a good few hours yesterday with no freezing. I might even play it if I can drag myself away from Forza 3.

TBH though, it's pretty much exactly the same as the first one. Doesn't come close to being a GOTY IMO.
