What has impressed me about Tekken on the other hand is that so much has been added to pretty much every characters arsenal affecting the way they play. I hope Super SF4 will do that and put in some half decent modes too where it was severely lacking.
I do agree though that it would be good to see some innovations in the fighting genre. The thing with Tekken though is that it's one of if not the biggest arcade fighting games out there where it's played very competitively like a sport (especially in Japan and Korea). Changing the rules greatly would a be a big risk for a major tournament fighting game and Namco already got burned trying something like that that with Tekken 4. It's shame really but I wonder how fighters will fare in the next gen considering they don't seem to really get affected gameplay wise by technology any more.
