I would have to disagree with the comments about the snow mobile section, after sneeking about the snow covered base this was a real shot of adrenalin. It was fast, it didnt reqiure multiple restarts, and I wanted to do it again straight away.

I really wish it had been a mission where you could have decided whether you wanted to be the driver or the gunner therefore carrying a better gun. Makes more sense than diving 1 handed at huge speeds while firing a pistol.

I loved that section! Epecially when it sped up. Miles better than the land-based vehicle sections from previous CODs in my opinion.

Does anyone find the text on the multiplayer lobby screens difficult to read? I find the background is too similar a colour to the text!

I just opened my Prestige Edition and did the 'boy' thing and tried the NV goggles and they're brilliant. I am so impressed how well they work, outside in the dark both Grey and Green modes light up my garden nicely. I'm not sure if they'll ever get much use, maybe I'll leave them on my bedroom window sill so I can pop them n in the middle of the night if I hear strange noises from the garden

Anyone else having Trophy problems with the PS3 version?

I've done the first 3 levels but only got the very first Trophy.

Is that what the patch was for?

the pach actually stopped the trophies from working, its bugged.
uninstall the patch and it'll work fine........but then you cant play online.
oh and the online is also screwed at the moment, massive ammounts of lag and the inability to play with friends.
i'm waiting for a proper patch with fixes before i even bother to play the single player game or attempt the multi player............gg iw

Stories over and what a great one it was. I am not overly keen on the single player mechanic of Call of Duty games but the set pieces and story stuff are what drove me through it.

It's just as well the multiplayer is bloody amazing, it's the meat of the game for sure.

That controversy surrounding that level is much ado about nothing for me.

It was all so hilariously over the top, that I found it impossible to take seriously. It'd be like taking a Michael Bay film seriously. Saying that, I thought Infinity Ward have been quite clever about it. You've got the option to skip it, tag along as a passive observer or embrace your dark side. It's entirely up to you. The only time you're left with no choice but to open fire is when dealing with the SWAT team, and then it's just a matter of self-preservation. Kill or be killed!

Dunno if you can turn the tables on the bad guys by firing at them, up until now it never even occurred to me to try it, but seeing as it leads to a major plot point I doubt it. I played through the first part of the level without harming a single civilian, and things never turned out too good for me. As I lay dying on the floor, blood gushing from my head, the last thought I had was next time I play through this level I'm gonna go postal on them mother****ers and have a bit of fun.

After all it's just a game, and it's rated 18, so what's the big deal?

I tried killing them and they call you a traitor and shoot you.
I do wish your actions in the airport somewhat had an influence on what happens, doesn't seem to make a difference if you join in or not.
I also tried to avoid shooting the armed guards but the level wasnt progressing so I dealt with them.

I felt the same way. I didnt even consider it that shocking & didnt realise it was THAT level until someone pointed it out to me. I thought it was gonna be later on in the game ha ha!

It felt a bit like Die Hard 2 tbh. And its obvious that it was just lobbed on for controvesy due to World events seeing as if you can skip it as mentioned before you play the game, then it cant be that important to the plot.

I've just done act 1 and the first mission of act 2...did I miss something? I seem to have jumped to an unexpected location that is being attacked all of a sudden.

After the airport level I was expecting something along these lines, but it just seems to...happen, and very little is made of it!

                            .

I think I must have missed something, I'm finding the radio chatter difficult to follow in this. Doesn't help that my surround sound system stopped working yesterday so am using crappy TV speakers!

Been playing the multiplayer (free-for-all and team deathmatch) for 6 hours straight tonight and I must reiterate, simply awesome. Infinity Ward have improved the multiplayer in almost every aspect. Love the customisable kill streaks, love the actually kill streak themselves and everything else, it way more deeper than the original game which is an achievement itself.

Also tried out the spec-ops mode with a friend and managed to complete the Alpha missions. Another superb addition to an already amazing game. Some of the missions are so tense and atmospheric, you actually have to use teamwork to get through unscathed especially on the veteran difficulty.
