Im stuck on the first level . Got off ground and thats it death after death. Dropped difficulty still the same , am I that bad?

Played 30 minutes of this when I got in after our midnight launch.

Seems okay, more CoD, really. Not a bad thing as I enjoyed the first MW.

you haven't played much FPS games in your life, have you? anyway, calm down mate. it's a great FPS - maybe even the best this year - but taking the genre to new levels? oh dear, i wish it would. it's basically the old formula, just a little refined, but without any innovation. there's still poor AI, crappy gun sound, respawning enemies and a lack of proper online co-op.

I have played plenty of FPS over the years , I think you find , Chirst what is with people these days . 'I' like the game , 'I' find it bloody amazing , You may not , but 'I' do .
I still say Exhumed and Duke 3D are the still the best FPS ever made , but others may not .


And why this nonsense over innovation ?, with every game genre being done to death , its next to impossible to be innovated (over ways we control the game , but the gameplays is the same even then) and who really gives a toss , when a game is made this good ?
If you're looking for new formula's , may I suggest you give up Video games altogether , because it just isn't going to happen

What walk around and shoot stuff ?. Like I haven't that done a billion times in any other FPS, and please don't tell me about the RPG' elements in a FPS , because that's been done before in other FPS.
Now I'm not going to call Borderlands a bad game , just it's not for me, and when one looks over the weapon system , it really doesn't play vastly different to most other FPS

Agree. The people who have been sniping at the game/dev/publisher for months are lapping this up. I thought this was a first play thread, not a bitch thread.

I've done my fair share of Nintendo/Mario bashing but knew when to give it up and let those that enjoyed it a free run........

It may not play especially differently but I will say that people who say one FPS is a clone of the next are talking nonsense and should be ignored. There is a huge difference between the feel of the weapons and the movement within any FPS game you can mention. This does have a lot of bearing on if a FPS is worth playing or simply shelved.

Personally I find Borderlands more fluid and accurate than COD which to me always feels clunky and poorly balanced weapons wise. I am hoping that it is sorted this time around but I will not hold my breath.

We shall see when Argos finally get their act together. supposedly it was delivered last Thursday according to their website.

So far, so good. I seem to have a problem with CoD in that i'm utter balls at it until I learn the AI but the levels are incredible.

I wondered what people meant about THAT mission until I did it.

I felt wrong, a hideous human.

I have to say im underwhelmed by this in single player, havent tried multiplayer, but it just feels old, maybe ive played to many FPS shooters during my gaming lifetime, its ok but nothing special in single player.
