On rust I was finding a basic shotgun super effective. Kills the knifers before they reach you.

I'm having much more fun with this online than the 1st one, i think what makes it for me is the Riot Shield, i f'in love it. Pretty much got to lvl26 using it alone and have become a real pro using it mainly thanks to getting killed alot early on by good players i've got counter/counter-shield tactics down to a tee so the only time i get killed now is when im ganged up on or they've mangaed the knife me from the side.

I Load out with magnum, throwing knife, smoke and perks of marathon, Lightfoot and Melee range, i can be on top of people before they've unloaded there 1st clip and backing off after the 1st shiled bash is must as pro player will swing with knife to cut you down before you can bash again or just acting as a decoy for other to kill. Only problem is staying alive for along time usually means it really hard to see out of the shield with allthe breaks on it

I just love this on MP. Don't care if I'm getting killed, and it's so manic at times it's great. Some of the levels seem like they need more players in them at one time though, just seems like I'm running around trying to find someone to knife/shoot/blow up etc.

The MP is getting out of hand,I've spend 16 hours on it in 3 days.Only a couple of Zelda games have hooked me like that,but this is so much more demanding.Can anyone please explain the difference between the tactical knife and the knife you use by pressing on the right stick?

this isnt a joke set up, but whats the difference between the red dot sight and a holographic sight?

Well the red dot is just as it says its very small but you can therefore target which body parts you'd like to hit, the holograph is bigger and projects a large red dot onto the recticle , accuracy is better, but the shots are more spread out, it just depends on what style floats your boat as there aint much difference between them, hope that helps.

Holographic is more accurate. It doesn't move when you pan your weapon, whilst a red dot "sways" slightly.

I assume you lose the holographic reticule when an EMP goes off, like in the campaign.

I've noticed there are no challenges for the holographic scope and I prefer the red dot one, because I find the holo one too big compared to the red dot.

You loose the red dot, hart beat sensor and holographic sight with an EMP.

I seem to be getting worse at this. I usually play headquarters, because at least everyone congregates towards one area of the map so I've got a chance to get a couple of kills, but even in this mode I was getting slaughtered. I'm currently Lvl 30, so I've played it quite a bit, but it's just not fun dying over and over.

What perks are you using Goldenballs? Loving Ninja as it gives you the drop on most, combined with Coldblooded + silencer =

Try Groundwar out mate, plenty going on. Law of averages 9 enemies gives you a better chance to kill.

SP has been discussed greatly so I have nothing of interest to add however MP is a different story.

I never really got into Modern Warfare 1, mainly due to starting late and battling opponents who had days of experience over me and found it frustatingly difficult, repeatedly dying and not really getting any enjoyment.

Whether the maps are better, the perks or varied loadouts - I have loved the MP from day one. I have good games and bad but always enjoy it, be it hunting down a camping sniper or disrupting the enemy with claymores, its always fun.

I'm only level 35, probably have a poor k/d ratio but that doesn't interest me tbh, my aim which is to reach Prestige - will report back in a few years if I reach level 70

I was a bit pissed off last night after getting absolutely destroyed with a k/d ratio of about 1/10, maybe even worse. I have had some very enjoyable games on it though. Maybe I just need to accept that I'm not very good at it.

Have you tried raising the sensitivity on your aiming stick.When I did,it made aiming much quicker in one-on-one fights.

Getting really annoyed with the connection of this now. One minute im fine and kicking arse in all sorts of ways, then i come up against a person or team with a faster connection, and bam! utterly slaughtered, its like im at least 2 seconds behind them. Its especially bad when all the yanks log on in the afternoon, i just have to turn it off and play it later.

You can even see it in the kill cam, for example ill fire off a whole clip into someone when my connection is crap, and they will simply fire 2 rounds and kill me. its infuriation when it happens, no skill at all, grrrr.



In short they really need to sort it out, maybe with more local matchmaking?
