Ordered mine through Amazon with the armour code. Played the game a lot on Friday and managed to die about 10 times on one part of a mission which I must admit took a bit of the "shine" off the game for me,

I was wondering about the armour code but it turned up yesterday morning and I had to redeem it at the web site, The armour was then available to load in the Cerberus Network. From what I have heard it is better looking than the armour that could crossover from Dragon Age. The "Inferno" armour does have some useful bonuses. Only down side is that you can't change the colour of it.

Having got the armour available I played some more and got past the bit that was causing me the considerable aggravation.

I am thankful I imported the character as I can see myself having to spend a fortune on probes. I used my 30 probe allocation on the first two planets I orbited and still had some prospecting to do! It is admittedly the best way to get resources.

I'm playing this on PC: they shouldn't have tried to compress the data. The game installs to around 12GB, and between the two discs it came on (one dual layer DVD and a single layer DVD), that would easily house about 12.3GB. All the data is in RARs, the decompression of which would explain the nigh-on 30 minute install time.

Barely scratched the surface on this, but so far I'm applauding Bioware for such a polished sequel.

I went with the 360 version in the end.

Can anyone tell me if I will be able to unlock or buy more casual wear for my lady Shepard?

          ^ I haven't found any yet

Anyone know what benifit there is to upgrading the Medical Bay? It's 50,000 Platinum and I don't want to waste it....

On a side note, if anyone needs Platinum visit Partholan (Balor), just found about 15,000+ there.

I bought it, if you buy it you can have all your scars removed. However, depending which route you take paragon/renegade, you will get rid or worsen your scars anyway (MB is probably better for renegades). Apparently the medical bay upgrade doesn't effect the outcome of the game.

Every system i come into i'm compelled to scan every planet.

Pshaw, you never played Star Control 2? One day might get you through three systems, each had 1-10 planets, and there are over 100 systems. :P

Ah, it's a shame there aren't more elements to scan for. Making an unexpected "discovery" is just as exciting here as it was back in the days of Star Control 2...

If it was just scan it'd be okay, I won't leave a planet alone until it's depleted. And I won't leave a system alone unless every planet is scanned. I'm trying to rein myself in as it's getting silly

Oh man. I've just finished a 30 hour playthrough. 24 of those were over the last two days.

This game is from top to bottom a masterpiece.

I've played 23 hours and I still haven't been asked for the second disk, this is fast becoming my favourite game ever. It's about time something knocked Zelda OoT of it's perch I guess.

                      This really is stunning stuff.

I got to learn assault rifles on my Vanguard an hour ago. It's during a mission for the Illusive man, an absolutely fantastic mission I'll add.

It's when you get sent to inspect a drifting collectors ship, you get to choose assault rifle, sniper rifle or the Krogan shotgun

every time you gain the loyalty of a squad mate by doing their quest you can choose to learn their special, unique ability. That's what advanced training is for

More curious than tin-foil hat wearing but is there a logical explanation for why the 360 version dumps you back to the main screen without a chance to save if your connection to live drops even temporarily?

Quick question: is Mass Effect (the actual game) needed to import an original Mass Effect character to Mass Effect 2, or is merely having a save file sufficient? The reason I ask is I sold Mass Effect a long time ago but still have the save files.
