Arrival was a weird thing for Mass Effect, it was like you should of had a big choice to make ala the one at the end of the first game, but it forces one outcome on you.

If there are more levels on a par with Lair of the Shadow Broker in Mass Effect 3 then I simply cannot wait.

I actually don't expect much from DLC in most RPG titles but that whole mission was superb from start to finish.

It was fantastic, the way Kasumi and Zaeed, for example, commented on the mission and personal relationships/troubles onboard as the adventure went on. If I'd played the from day 1 on 360 and bought the DLC later it simply wouldn't have worked at all. Which raises the conundrum: buy ME3 at launch, or wait? Actually it's not much of a conundrum. Wait.
It was a real problem, I don't think they handled the DLC well at all. It was obviously somewhat strange to play this content after completing the main game given the status of the plot at that time.

Really though, I have little time for bite-sized DLC. DLC that takes about an hour to finish. I'd much rather see Bioware work on an expansion pack, something more substantial on a similar scale to the Shivering Isles expansion for Oblivion. I think people would be willing to pay more for this too - most people who bought the individual DLCs feel quite jaded and burnt after the 5th piece of DLC that took longer to download than to finish.

Ive actually been considering going through this again myself recently and this time actually playing the DLC too.

The Third game isnt far away now though, i dont know if I will have time to get through this again.

Is most of the DLC not really needed as far as story goes or what then? I really only want to play it again as a recap as I dont actually remember the stoiry at all.

Rmoxon: shadow broker is pretty significant in terms of core plot as it shows the fate of a key NPC, and I'm sure it'll have repercussions in 3. The rest, not so much.

I've not really watched any media for Mass Effect 3 yet but I did watch the femshep trailer released yesterday and if I'm interpreting certain lines in the trailer correctly, I think Arrival may be very important to finish.

Same way i am going...I played 1 just before 2 came out...picked 2 up cheap a year later then gradually bought all the DLC in sales. Recently finished it, covered every nook and cranny and loved it. Fallout 3 proved to me that going back to play DLC is no good because i put so much into the initial play through I never really have the heart to go back.

Obviously dont wait too long cuz no doubt EA let the Cerberus Code expire after 5 mins!!

I've played all the DLC except arrival. I figure I might wait and time it so I finish it off just before this comes out.

Decided to get the shadow broker DLC due to the recommendations on here, thoroughly enjoyed it, I had forgotten how fun the combat was. I had also forgotten how overpowered my character was, was incredibly easy on normal.

Still, has me set up for the third game now.
