Online seems fine. Very simple to set up. Choose a course, racer, go. You can turn on/off catch-up and change laps and if you want hazards on/off.

The only problem I noticed (it could have been someone's connection) but when people seem to get a speed boost they suddenly jump a little ahead on the track. I noticed it with a few people though.

really like this, nice and fast and just makes a change to play something happy and colourful that isn't trying to be Xtreme or containing soldiers or muscle bound space marines.

not in the same league as a game but makes me happy in a similar way Mario Galaxy did.

I know we all have different sensitivities but whereas I saw it in the demo I don't see any tearing or frame issues on the full 360, not saying they aren't there, just I can't see them anymore.

tried online earlier and all seemed to work quite well too.

Its good very good, but i would say if you own a Wii and have mario kart, its not as essential as if you have only a 360 or ps3 , as on those 2 theres not really anything good similar, but on the Wii Mario kart still wins.

Just picked up my copy in town and despite not being the biggest SEGA fan in the world there's enough fan service from titles I like to make it worth the purchase. Billy Hatcher, JSR, Samba. All good inclusions!

Hopefully there'll be some DLC in the shape of Daytona or Scud Race tracks (with added loops and jumps, naturally!!)

          Good stuff, Sumo!!

Just been out and got this today for an evening session with the family tonight.
Most of the comments on here have been pretty positive which is great news, does it give Mario Kart a run for it's money?

For some reason I never got around to picking up the wii Mario Kart, probabaly becuase while the handheld versions are pretty good the newer console games never manage to make me feel like I did when i first played super Mario Kart.

Somehow this does manage it though, Its a brilliant game.

played loads of this online now, excellent fun. shooting banjo/kazooie player with a confusion star and watching him turn off the course allowing me to win by 0.01 seconds made me jump around like a little boy made even better by an achievement popping at the same time!

need people to be more adventurous with the course choice....whale lagoon, icicle thingy and shibuya to seem to be the only ones picked

Spent the afternoon clearing mission mode. Just finished number 64. Whoever designed that is a total git!

Superb fun, just what I needed after the seriousness that was Heavy Rain. Now to clear some GPs.

Had a go round a mates house (360) and I was a little shocked to see slowdown on the second course in the ice bit!

Tempted still though as I like the concept, hi-def mario kart with sonic characters and achievements!

I thought the demo was a good laugh. Very colourful, good handling, and amusing.

It's awesome, but how does one initiate the all-stars moves? Are they in the standard pickups? I've played through the entire Beginner grand prix mode and got an all-star move ONCE! (Big the Cat's Froggy surprise ) Am I missing something or are they ultra rare??

It's classic kart racer rules. Last place gives a higher chance of rolling a better item.

Yeah, I've only ever got one when I've found myself at the back of the field.

I only got one when I got bummed off a Monkey Ball course playing as Beat. It was the last lap and I went from last to first in no time using his super skatey skillz. Didn't seem fair, really

Nobody on my friends list seems to be playing the PS3 version so that's the friends trophy kissed goodbye

I'm really enjoying this. Had a little dabble of all modes now and done the Beginners GP
