Is it possible for 2 individual Live profiles to go online while you're playing splitscreen?

We've managed to do AI Races with us each signed in but we can't figure how to go online.

    Cheers.

Whether or not this is another in an alarming (for me anyways) situation whereby games are heavily weighted towards multiplayer, single-player being an additional 'bolt-on' Im not sure, but Im very unimpressed by Blur so far. A weak handling model, frustrating, generic and uninspiring weapons together with bland, unexciting gameplay make this a lifeless and unremarkable racing experience for me - sorry.

        3/10 then?

Anyway, yeah this game is definitely more geared to online play. I played a little bit of single player then jumped online and was excited to find almost destruction derby-esque modes in there!

Love this game, keep meaning to get back into it!

i was initially pretty underwhelmed with it, gave it a 6/10 and left it alone, been getting back into the multiplayer though and am loving 10 racer maximum skirmish events.

quite rare having dismissed a game I go back to it but this has drawn me in and I have to say I love the online now, single player is pish though.

still think the handling isn't a patch on Bizarre's Gotham series but overall its a good game, but only online.

this is really a game that hid its charms, more I play the more I'm getting drawn into it, online only and 10 player skirmish races.

once I get settled in I find an hour or so just flies by.

the real success is how wherever you are you feel involved and part of the game, unlike say a racing only online game where the cool kids leave you behind.

would love to see a sequel with the PGR 4 handling model attached and some more imaginative track design but retaining the perfect weapon balance.

I'm amazed at the difference in how this feels between the PS3 version and the 360 version. I recently bought a copy on the PS3 and failed to bond with it in any way. Playing with a DualShock 3 is often like mushing two spoons around in a bucket of sand, but it was especially bad in Blur. The 360 version, though pretty much identical in every way has just clicked for me. The handling is still awful (though I've come to it from Split/Second and Flatout UC so I've long forgotten what a decent handling model feels like) but it just feels so much better on the 360 it's unreal.

I actually quite enjoy the single player. It is, essentially, training for online, but it's still fun, and I can see myself merrily tootling through it before launching into online land. There were a few hundred on last night as well, so it's still busy. Looking at the achievements, I think 1000 pointing it, like I did with Split/Second, is a far bigger ask. The all golds in SP at hard looks especially difficult.

It's only the first five primary lights, so not as difficult as it looks. All the races are especially easy, it's just a couple of the checkpoint events, Haruna & Shoreditch and the destruction events that will give you trouble.

If you want to go online, hop in with me and the guys I race with. We are mostly Legend X 50's and will be able to give you so much useful advice.

Just had a nice little session on this but had to leave due to needing to crimp one out

                  Quite happy with that really!

So does anyone fancy a session on this over the festive period? All my regular foes have got 'Blur burnout' due to playing it so much so I need new people to race.

Doesn't have to be ranked matches either. If you play private games, you have access to all cars and power ups, so everyone should be equal.

PS. Marcus, I DEMAND that you negate that '4' rating and revise it to at least a 10!

Nonsense! A Class, Brooklyn Tour, Monaro VXR, Drifter mod and a few top class racers is immense fun. Especially when there are 2 or 3 of you taking each corner side by side, choosing that right moment to nitro out of the drift to snatch that first place on the last corner.

Or B Class on Amboy in the ZR1 or C3 Rat with the same mods. You absolutely have to be in complete control of the car, earning drifts on every corner to have any chance against the off road vehicles. The pressure is always on as I play with decent X 50's who WILL punish you if you slip up.

Community events is fun as well. Manhattan View on a 'Shocks and Shields' race is immense fun, as is A Class Mt Haruna as an elimination.

I will play aslong as you dont mind helping a noob along.

only had 1 quick go online so far and nearly won...but was shunted, shocked and bolted to buggery in the last 100 yards

I'm always up for helping people out. Best way is in a private match so you can get used to the mods. Can give you loads of little tips that will give you an advantage online(Maybe not against people with 4000+ races under their belts) but definitely those who haven't gone legend yet.

Fami, I'll do some racing with you, if you'll help me get the Motor Mash sticker. I despise Motor Mash, but I have to win one somehow.

Finished the SP a couple of days back. Next step, all lights. Then all primary lights on hard. Also need to get to 50 online, and up my patchy win rate. It's just fitting this around hundreds of Steam sale games that's the issue....

Motor Mash is incredibly tricky to do these days due to everybody sticking to Skirmish or Powered Up, but if I can rope in a couple of other players, it shouldn't be a problem.

All lights can be a bitch, especially on the destruction levels where the fan targets are ridiculous. Also, for every light on hard, races are so easy, but some of the checkpoints are just ridiculous, requiring a perfect lap EVERY time.

How wrong can one be about a game ?.

Had this game for Christmas at its utterly brilliant. Don't go buy the demo, try and play the full game its just amazing and a racing game that is FUN (something missing in so many next gen racers)

It's my racing game of the year and that's just on the single player alone. Such a shame that activation sent it out to die and not giving bizarre the chance they deserved.
