What are the servers like for this (360 version) now? I noticed earlier in the thread people were having issues.

Love this game.
Quite a few numpties playing though, one heli pilot made it impossible to shoot anything with his erratic flying then flew out of bounds and rather than correct it, jumped out leaving me in the gunner seat in an unpiloted heli to die!
So far for me this is sooo much better than MW2!
Apologies if by some small coincidence, it was me. I can't control the choppers for ****!

Next thing I know I'm flying sideways into an upside down position and crashing into a building committing suicide. No doubt the rest of my team were laughing their asses off.

Yep i'm the same too, if you can master them you can rack up serious points.
Try and practice in a private match

I couldn't fly helicopters in Bad Company and still can't in this.
Battlefield Veteran
I've got two veteran icons on my veteran page, but the Veteran Rank says 1. In Bad Company my VR is 1, in 1943 my VR is 1, and in Bad Company 2 my VR is 2. When it's all sorted, shouldn't my overall VR be 4 (Modern Combat, Bad Company, 1943, Bad Company 2) and then in each game my VR should be 3, because it doesn't count the one for the game you're playing?
Originally posted by Malc View PostI noticed this too, played around 5-10 games so far and barely heard a word. Not sure if it has something to do with being in a 4 man squad limiting your voice communications.

I've been trying to avoid this but I'm just gonna have to buy it! I said to myself I wouldn't buy a game before I finish uni in May but **** it, it looks absolutely awesome fun!
These two paragraphs on Eurogamer.net review pretty much sold it for me:
"For example, I was dropped into one Conquest game already in progress, on the losing side. At this late stage, all our base were belong to them and a particularly skilled enemy had taken to the skies in an Apache helicopter, performing an elaborate aerial ballet and bombarding our last refuge with rockets whenever anybody tried to make a break for safety. By taking advantage of the open environment, however, I was able to lurk out of sight in the scrub, make my way down the coastline to a shipwreck with an AA gun mounted on the deck and bring him down with no small amount of vengeful vindication. Almost immediately, the tide turned; my squad mates were able to commandeer tanks and APCs and start taking back the bases that had been complacently left unguarded, so sure were our foes of air superiority. Back and forth, the glorious flow of Battlefield is still a joy to behold. You can never be too careful. That tree might be a communist.
The game is full of fantastic little stories like that, and the maps do a great job of letting such things happen, providing the playground but leaving the game up to the players. Scamper up to an attic, use C4 to blow out one of the walls, and create a sniper spot that nobody will think to look for. Lose yourself in the rusty snarl of a beached freighter and wait, shotgun ready, for someone to dash past on their way to an objective. It's endlessly, brilliantly immersive stuff, fully deserving of the Battlefield legacy."
Also, are the helicopters really that hard to fly?

As for heli's I'm a newcomer to them in this game and I didn't find them *that* hard to fly!
