I keep hoping each bump will bring confirmation of the English Asian version.

If this happens, can someone change the thread title?

Sorry J0e I've already promised it to another member once I've finished with it, if it falls through I'll let you know.

Already mentioned it in the Headlines thread, the English Asian version was put up in error by Playasia.

Thanks for the heads. That sucks - I may end up getting the Japanese Asian one instead then, but I'm reluctant to miss out on the text dialogue.

It's definately one of the more import friendly titles out there, there are a few number based puzzles which involve either inputting into a keypad or moving objects about, the number clues are written in the Japanese text so they are easy to pick out, might require a bit of trial and error getting them in the right order though but they are easy, the only puzzle that might cause a problem is the Chess one right at the start, although a lot of people with the US version had trouble with that one so I doubt it was a language barrier thing.

After completing it the majority of the sidequests are voiced and most of the time explain clearly what you need to do, there are a couple that aren't though, when you have activated a side quest they are clearly labled on the pause screen mission list along with the quest number and what chapters they can be completed in, the description is in Japanese though, for the small number I got stuck on I used the Side Quest guide on Xbox360Acheivement

Only other things I can think of is the ingame map has all the houses labled in Kakatana, not an issue if you can read it but I could do with an English map printoff to make it easier on the brain, the map is a pain to begin with anyway, constantly rotating and you can't zoom out all the way. You do learn the area after a while though.

Also the audio is poorly mixed at times, making it hard to hear what's being said and you obviously can't read the subtitles instead, I ended up going into the audio options and turning down the music and sfx options a bit while leaving the voice option set all the way up which improved it a lot.

One last thing I remember that I did get stuck on was opening a door, I kept getting bounced off it and couldn't work out why, wasn't until I took notice of the Japanese text next to the X button command that I realised it said "Push" instead of "Open" so I just had to hold X down, wasted about 40mins wondering if I'd missed something like a key to open the door

I noticed that a couple of times, but thought it was because Frank can't be arsed to listen to them. Or it's like the Pink Room scene from Fire Walk with Me where you can barely hear what they are saying because it's in a loud club (in the US version the dafties insisted on putting subtitles on it )

I can read Katakana, so I should be fine in that case - cheers for the write up Phar.

Possibly, but theres been parts where Yorks driving and talking to Zach and the sound of the car engine and music playing drowns out the voice audio, theres also a few other scenes later where York isn't even there but the audio keeps dipping.

Ahh you should be fine navigating the map then.

I can read katakana too but I am still hoping, nay, praying, that someone might want to sell me a cheap US 360

I got out of the first room.

This is dreadful. In a good way. Or possibly in a bad way.

Ended up going for the Platinum trophy on this earlier last week, part of it reminds me of Dead Rising as you can gain items or certain abilities and go back and replay earlier chapters with all your items from later in the game, didn't realise you could do that until after I'd completed it. Definitely makes going back to complete the side quests and trading cards you've missed a lot easier, the unlockable

police radio which warps you to places you've already been on the map

is a god send for doing those bit's to save time.

Got some cool items for collecting all the trading cards

2 suits, 1 that increases energy and another that increases your nerves

also got one of the best weapons in the game,

                          a light sabre

which makes short work of anything. Overall I clocked up around 45hrs to grab all 60 trophies, quite surprised at how much there was to do, even then I haven't managed to get all the extra unlockable weapons, think I'm about done with it now though, very enjoyable while it lasted.

You know when you start picking a bit of dead skin off the bottom off your foot, and for a moment it's very, very satisfying, then you get to the bit where the dead skin joins onto the live skin, and you're slowly.... slowly.... slowly.... pulling the dead skin, but you get little twinges of pain as it yanks on the live skin?

                            That's Deadly Premonition.

No. It's sort of enjoyable. In a painful sort of way. Sort of.
