the map is huge and daunting, I found that I didn't try to play like a traditional game and went with the flow, if I was near a mission I'd do it, if they were miles away I just messed around locally until a suitable vehicle showed up that could fly me or boat me to the next mission star. plus once you've unlocked extractions from the black market guy getting around is simply a matter of how you choose to do it.

the game is so big and stuffed with content I wonder what they are planning for the dlc they seem to be talking up

Played 20hrs and have just finished the story on hardcore. Finding it repetitive now and will not play it any further. Felt that they could have tightened up the map massively...it's simply far too large...and improved the mission structure. I enjoyed the experience but will not be putting in the hours necessary to reach the magic 100%.

You have to be a sadist to put in 100%. >< Not that i'm saying it as a bad thing but because its so bloody big and those strongholds are really annoying to completly destroy.

Theres no multiplayer in Just Cause 2. If you want multiplayer havoc, best wait till crackdown 2.

Started again on Easy and having a lot more fun now, definately recommend the easiest setting for anyone starting this game. I know that's not normally the done thing, but the best part of the game is messing about, and that's not as fun on any other difficulty.

I'm pretty close to giving up now. The mechanics of the game are great but the missions are dire and I'm only just hitting halfway.

Nearly done with this now, done 50 hours and still only on 60% completion!!! May give up on the 75% cheev!!

Yeah just running out of stuff to keep me interested now, getting bored of looking for individual skulls etc and 100% settlements.

Finished all the missions now, still fun blowing the hell out of stuff though lol

all missions now done, both agency and faction. leaves me standing at 53%

will carry on for a bit as still got a few achievements I'd like to hoover up.

last couple of agency missions felt a bit cheap spawning and throwing the kitchen sink at you but loved the faction missions.

do wonder where they'll go with dlc on this as when you get to the stage I'm at it only really new missions that would be worthwhile, can't see me spending points on vehicles or weapons

easily GotY for me and would say last time I got so hooked on something was Mario Galaxy

It's weird this, I can't just sit and play for 30 minutes, I have to clear the time and play ut for hours

the compulsion to play on is something I find with very open games like this, there is no natural break point as you always know there is another little thing to do round the corner, plus the fact this game is so stuffed with surprising things to find/see and endless pick up crates.

when playing something more linear with chekpoints clearly spaced out its easier to put the controller down, this eats up the hours,as my 60h + points to for me.
