Yeah, I'd love to have sat in on the meeting where they decided on control options just to hear what their reasoning was for not including the original controls. I can't believe they'd just decide no one would want legacy at all, but I guess that's exactly what they did.

Nick Ferguson, XBLA producer, posted this on twitter:

A sneak peek at the Advanced Control options coming to #perfectdark (via TU) at the end of April.
Edit: pic not working, here's a link instead: http://twitpic.com/1cfboa

I have this fear they won't change manual aim to the left stick, but surely they can't get it wrong twice.

Also, the Lock Sight option is going to change how the game plays quite a bit, isn't it? If the crosshair stays in the centre of the screen at all times, it's going to turn it into every other shooter in multiplayer mode. I don't think I like the idea of that.

Yeah both of the glitched ones unlocked in the end. The first one I just had to make a new save file on a memory card and unlock agent again (not hard when you get back into the flow) then do the firing range.

Special Agent I just replayed some levels and it unlocked. Makes you wonder if they even tested it fully though.

What boggles the mind even more is that the two Banjo games they converted are absolutely flawless, no bugs, everything absolutely perfect. This thing seems to be riddled with loads of minor bugs. One really annoying one I've come accross is where you pick up a uniform, and although it makes the sound, it doesn't appear on your items screen.

Actually banjo had an issue with the bottles puzzle game. In the video the ai would be picking up the notes. Then if you hadn't collected them they'd never appear in the level!

I think we're just in a different era now concerning the state of a released product. Something which is buggy back in those days can be patched now post release.

They patched that single problem in Banjo not long after release. My guess is that the many bugs in PD will never be patched, as they've already practically admitted to.

That Banjo bug was quite serious, softlocking the user in a game which could never be completed.

Control issues and other bits and bobs aren't as important as that, but i'm looking forward to aiming properly!

Well I am getting through the game on Perfect Agent now. Had a few crowns but I read the whole list and TBH I don't think its worth the effort/stress so I will probably no get all the points on this one.

Maybe if the patch fixes the aiming.

I'm trying to beat my mate's best time on the first level. We have a pact where we don't use any glitch exploits but I seriously can't see how he's got that time of 2:50 without cheating. We were pretty much matched on the N64 version and my time on that is 3:10, only 12 seconds behind my time on XBL.

Anyway, there's nothing more glorious than opening the door to get back out of the ground floor hub room to be greeted by around 16 enemies with absolutely no slowdown at all.

                  Heaven.

Also, the retina scan options hub doesn't feature an animated cable anymore, and it's prone to vanishing before it's even made it off the screen fully.

                    Get it sorted, Rare.

                        * Precision Aim sensitivity tuning

Praise Jebus, this is exactly what i need! Find it far too sensitive by default.

Hmmm.... So I can't adjust player handicaps for Live matches between friends? That sucks balls.

Still no team matchmaking then? Guess that won't be added

Slammed in the update today, turned the aiming sensitivity down to half (it was at 3/4) and it still felt too sensitive in 'hold to aim mode'.

Despite that, I am enjoying this far more than any recent release I am playing.

The sensitivity as it was felt fine to me. Just jittery when going for headshots like people have said.
