You can blink past a line of base defences.

You can blink down a cliff to escape (handy for hit and run attacks on gatherers)

You can blink to outrun units.

If you use an observer that isn't being picked up by AA you can blink right into a base.

I read about someone using an infestor to neural parasite a ghost, then launch their own nuke on them XD

After spending an hour on the Protoss 'Path of Ascension' trying to get gold (finally did it anyway!) I can now see the many benefits of blinking, I like selecting my group and individually blinking the ones that turn orange on my list to the back line in order for them to lose aggro, once they take a breather they're back in for more. 1-click-B-click, 1-click-B-click, etc etc.

I only need gold on the Zerg one now which I remember was easy peasy getting silver.

I'd still really like a timer for playing online. I'm not 100% sure of my build order up until my first Medivac. Once I have some Marines, Marauders and Medivacs I go for the Thors and loads of big random vehicles and upgrades I have no clue what I'm doing with. Extra props if my 2x Reaper scouts live until the end of the game too.

I battled my way up to Silver on Tuesday, played in some great matches, plenty of Zerg out there these days, I love matches where you try and start an attack only to find a Nydus worm is erupting in the back of your base!

If anyone needs an extra player for 2v2, 3v3, or 4v4 let me know.

Holy **** we can have 4v4? >< This needs arranging.

            My name is dataDave.

Had a funny match before... This guy just kept sending scores of Zerglings to get kited to death by my two Reapers, then he saved up a bit and sent a huge swarm which got toasted by my fresh Hellions. Then it was gg and surrender.

I'm now on 35 practice games, with 19 of those wins.

I like starting with harrass from 2x Reapers with Nitro Boosts and then into cloaked Banshees for mid-harrass whilst I stock up **** loads of Marines, Marauders and Medivacs, and Hellions too if it's Zerg. Once those are appearing faster than they are dieing I upgrade to Battlecruis0rs and send those in assisted with auto-repair SCVs.

I just pulled a great game back where I was being paggered left, right and centre by Zerg, at one point I had no base and had to rebuild. The Battlecruisors and maxxed out Hellions, as well as the mobile SCVs saved the day.

Sometimes I get rushed with ****loads of Zealots and Stalkers just about the time I get my 2nd Banshee out, it's a pain.

I'm now playing as Protoss as I prefer the diversity to switch builds after the initial 4-warp gate opener.

Terran are just too easy to use, and I was getting bored of how easy it is to just spam marines.

Also, after winning 4/5 of my placements I got put into the Bronze league where I'm winning around 50% of my matches, and losing the other 50% to utter cheese like mass marine/zealot/zergling-6-pool rushes. I can handle the Zealots and the 6-pool easily now but handling a 6-barracks opener from some cracka is just too overwhelming to counter with a few Zealots and a handful of Stalkers.

After I move to Singapore on Monday I'll likely be playing vs. Korean players so my win ratio is bound to go down somewhat.

I've been on the verge of moving from silver to bronze for a while (keep playing against silver drop outs). Probably would get promoted if I played more but I've been playing the custom games.

3 Collosus + bunch of stalkers and immortals + mothership + 3 carriers are godlike. Will chew through almost any ground based forces, even hydras and stimmied marines. Doesn't often work well against zerg though because they tend to send 3-4 overlords over.

Well, I didn't bring my PC which means it's going to be ages before I can play again.

I was getting bored of playing vs. the same Marine rush tactics anyway, and even with Stalkers I couldn't micro against them for ****.

Anyone still actively playing? I’ve been watching videos pretty much non-stop for two weeks now and I’m finding that that’s great fun in itself! I’m trying to hold back until May before buying a laptop (primarily for D3) but I’m getting urges to buy at a slightly lower spec early so I can get back into this.

I want to get into this as it's currently sat on the 'yet to play' pile on my shelf. Like with other games on said pile however, it's finding the time for it which is tough

New to SC but really enjoyed the demo. So a few weeks practice on the single player and might dip my toe into online.

Check out some of Force Sc2 Strategy on Youtube. I swear, watching these matches is pure crack. I installed my old copy on my GFs mac so I could relearn the keys at least, but as soon as 5mins have passed I'm overwhelmed with responsibilities and commands. Got some cheeky force field play sorted out though thanks to these vids. Looking forward to trying them out.
