tried a skirmish mode found the ai to easy on normal so i stuck it to hard...and now its IMPOSSIBLE TO BEAT....computer so obviously cheats

It probably does in all modes, but the computer in hard becomes to be a viable opponent, but far from being impossible to beat. It always behave in the same way, pushing with a Marine/Marauder, Zergling/Roach, Zealot/Stalker ball within the first five minutes and if repelled it will come back with something else some time later, often with air or heavy ground unit support, rarely both. The third push is usually with at least one top-tier unit and air support and by that time you should have at least three bases.
Defending the first push is very easy with all races even in 1 vs 2 scenarios and if you sit without attacking till the second push it means you're giving the computer map control or your defenses are really good (hello Siege Tanks and Planetary Fortresses).
That said, never played a game online; I limit myself to a random skirmish every now and then and watch LAGTV on Youtube.

It's weird. This was once my most looked forward to game yet, I have ended playing about 20mins before stopping. I found the close view of RTS's just don't do it for me anymore after Supreme Commander 1 & 2

Guessing I'm the only one that picked up Heart of the Swarm. Not many people talking about it anywhere or any reviews yet. I've only played a couple of missions, been suffering from some poor performance issues with the last nvidia beta driver. Installing the newest one now.

Anyone still actively playing? I’ve been watching videos pretty much non-stop for two weeks now and I’m finding that that’s great fun in itself! I’m trying to hold back until May before buying a laptop (primarily for D3) but I’m getting urges to buy at a slightly lower spec early so I can get back into this.

Got Heart of the Swarm sitting here until i finish Wings of Liberty on hard, jesus its a whole different beast on hard. Cant wait to get stuck in to the new one, might even give the online a go this time, though im absolutely crap at multi tasking on a M&K for games, so cant see myself getting very good at competitive.

I've been playing the heart of the swarm campaign. Loving it so far, but I don't think it's as good as wings of liberty. Still fantastic though and worth a purchase (I don't do multiplayer but love these games enough just for single).

Ok i gave up on Wings of Libetry final mission hard mode, just get overwhelmed within about 10 mins so started Heart of the Swarm.

I have to say i wasn't enamoured with the idea of being the Zerg for a whole campaign, squishy things that they are, i have a fondness for my marines. However the whole thing is clicking into place and Blizzard have done it again, im really enjoy evolving my brood into new forms, and i like the characters too, so far so good .
