I just can't get into this, its just too slow, from the loading to the character movement and everything.

I was going to buy the full game but this has convinced me otherwise.

Well played it thoroughly & now have 12/12 achievements. Seemed a bit daunting at first but after a few playthroughs you get used to how to dodge through crowds of zombies. Wasn't expecting a radical change from the first game glad to see some of the fun items from the first game were in this one.

Im just hoping that theres a lot more item combos in the full game as i really liked this new aspect of the game. Oh & teasing zombies never ever gets old

Never got on with DR1 and this seems... better. There's an appeal to it though it's not a great game. I can't shake the feeling it might make a better XBL game than a retail one

Try putting on the waitress dress in the diner then restarting the story, it's hard to take the story seriously when he has that dress on love how he wears it even in cutscenes.

I loved the first game and I like this "demo" as well, yes the graphics are nothing special (good enough for me though), he's not running very fast and the loading is terrible... but, it's great fun combining weapons and seeing what they all do and it never bores to mess up zombies in all kinds of different ways !! I couldn't stop playing it and I kept getting back to it to try stuff out. I think if you like the 1st game you cannot go wrong with this one..
My only concern is that you won't have enough time in the final game to spend a few hours just messing up Zombie's because of the strict time limits you have. I had to be pretty quick to find all motorparts and save all survivors in time, it gave not much time to mess around with the zombies, I went back after I've finished it just to mess around with the Zombies and not to worry about my mission.

even though I loved the first game and I really liked this demo I won't be getting this day 1 , with Halo and F12010 coming so soon I will be pretty busy and there are even more interesting games coming our way, maybe I will pick it up cheap after the holiday season.

Yeah, I finished the game in the waitress dress and a nice mohawk haircut !

I had a similar experience with the moose head during one of the cut scenes. The story is quite serious for a game where killing zombies in the most ridiculous ways possible is the main focus.

Played through this a few times now, good fun. As stated before, if you like the first game then there's no reason not to like this.

First time through i found all the survivors and just about found the last motor part, time was a close issue, but just like the first game when you know where you're going and what needs collecting then time isn't a problem.

Looking forward to the full release game now, and yes I also have a waitress dress on and a mohawk ha ha

I don't like it to be honest. I'll give it another try later today, but I don't think I'll buy the full game.

Not enjoying the first DR I went into this with a lot of skepticism. I bought it and figured i'd give it a shot and after seeing endings F and D I ended up with A. I enjoyed it a little bit but worried that this style of game on a massive scale like DR2 I wouldn't get on with it.

What makes me laugh is Capcom's attempts to dress this up as anything other than a paid demo by adding the usual XBLA whistles.

For anyone who thinks this isn't a crafty paid demo, ask yourself two questions:

                      - why doesn't this actually bridge the story of one and two like they said it would? Case Zero has no story worth telling and is light on any exposition...

                      - where's the actual demo of Dead Rising 2 then?

But surely a demo of a game has to contain some portion of the game itself? This doesn't. It's a different game with the same engine.

                        This is promotional material.

I'm so up and down for this at the moment. Finished it and got D, started playing again and can't be arsed again!

I dunno...really can't make up my mind about DR2. Co-Op of some kind in Case 0 might have been a nice touch too!

It's a fine line that this is walking I can see what's been said but feel its a bit mean to call it a demo. the original dead rising demo had a 15 min time limit, was lifted straight from the main game, and would end if you strayed too far.

There's loads of content here, a nicely crafted area to explore and a ton of stuff to do. To me it feels like a lot has gone into making this. Some nice achievements too that make sure you see everything this has to offer.

I don't buy that - the setting might be slightly different but it's the same game mechanics.

The character models will be virtually the same, the cards and skills will be the same, the weapons are certainly the same albeit the full release will have more, and I bet the full release will have the same bugs this one does too.

Think back to the demo of the first - that took a similar approach in terms of it being a similar setting, but it wasnt entirely the same because it was closed off and had limited weapons. They've done the same thing here but given it a bit of a tart up to try and dodge the paid demo issue.

Nothing will convince me otherwise until they release a Dead Rising 2 demo.

Not sure I'd agree with that. I was a little shocked when it ended if I'm honest, it was very short, relying on the gamer replaying it over and over.
