I'd like to see more objective based game types in the big team battle playlist, I used to really enjoy the big team games in Halo 2 with capture the flag and the one with the bomb. With that size of team you really need to work together to win whereas with the smaller four person teams it can be easier to bulldoze through on your own and grab the objective. At the moment big team battle is just about always slayer which is fine for the odd occasion but not all the time.

I can't imagine it's any harder than solo play. Level 1 of Halo 2 must have taken me 50 tries.

On legendary I found Halo 2 the hardest, followed by Halo 1, then ODST then Halo 3. The first level of Halo 2 might just be the hardest level in the whole series which is a rather tough introduction.

I think the flood are easy to be honest as like the Brustes they can be picked off or worn down by attrition. I think all the greatest difficulty spikes are sections with loads of Elites.
Ah ok, I think I will try Halo 3 then. I thought it would be harder than Reach. You re right about the Elites as if you don't kill them fast they hide and their sheilds regen I presume.

In one of the matches I played yesterday, someone on my team had Inclement Weather and it looked pretty rubbish considering it's 2,000,000 cR.

They make you stand out even more too, especially if you've also got the flaming helmet.

I can't quite understand why people would fork out a large amount of credits for pestilience...it looks like it should be a booby prize or penalty for mucking up somewhere. I agree the flaming helmet does stand out quite a bit, I'm quite happy with my recon helmet which is about all I've bought for my Spartan Poor guy probably deserves a bit more given he's nearly a Lt. Colonel but I hardly ever see it so doesn't seem worth it.

                        hehe I got Kotaku'd
There are one-in-a-million kills, and then there are one-in-a-gazillion-million-billion kills. Or, in this case, suicides.

I like the hand drawing Grassy Knoll explanations popping up in that thread.

As for me, I don't believe it was staged. This just proves how special you are

Reach (like H3) does have many great WTF moments like that. I get a kick out of bizarre **** happening in games. There's something wonderful when events the devs couldn't of planned happen. Unscripted.

I still can't really work out what happened, even in super slow mo.

It's crazy, I often think if all these crazy 1 off things can happen in a game and be saved because of it all being recorded, what happens in the real world as crazy as this?

Can you share the game replay itself? Some of the Kotaku guys will work it through I'm sure. You could use some single screen grabs of all points of impact / ricochets, we could work out the physics then
