    Enslaved [PS3/360]

Never got on with Heavenly Sword but kept an eye on this and after the demo, well...

    Yummy

It's like Heavenly Sword with Uncharted 2 running through its veins. Visually it's colourful, a tad rough textured, beautifully animated and nice voice work. I get the vibe that this could prove to be a dark horse of a release.

I thought this was a bit shocking when it started with loads of rough textures that made things look too busy.

The inside of the airship at the start was horrendous. Once you end up outside though it definitely picks up and looks quite lovely.

Combat feels sturdier than Heavenly Sword an the character faces (the eyes especially) and voices are very good.

It's got great potential but I cant help but feel it's being released at the wrong time of year.

Loved Heavenly Sword (apart from the broken camera on the final boss). Will get downloading!

Left me pretty empty this, nothing bad but also nothing particularly good either.
Sort of wants to be like uncharted at some points and then bit of melee fighting.
I'd say it was a bit soulless, I'll skip this one.

I enjoyed this, I think though its because I had such low expectations! It reminds me of Prince of Persia: Forgotten Sands - which I also quite enjoyed, its also lovely to look at - not technically but in terms of its vibrant colour and art design. As Teddy said it'll probably get blown away with other releases during its window so I suspect it'll drop in price quickly so I'll get it for a bargain and probably enjoy it.

This has taken me completely by surprise, wasn't a huge fan of heavenly sword but the platforming elements here are right up my street. Visually I thought it looked lush and it looks like its going to be packed full of interesting set pieces. Will be interested to see how the 360 version stacks up though as that?s my preferred platform.

I agree with this together with it looking top-notch as far as appearance is concerned. Hopefully the game proper is a joy to play but at least we only have to wait a couple of weeks to find out.

I've played the demo a few times now and it's been quite pleasant to be honest, I enjoyed Heavenly Sword even though it was limited in some ways and I'd not be surprised to see the same with this.

I'm not sure the technology has moved on as much as it should have since they released Heavenly Sword but it does look nice enough. When it came to the graphics they reminded somewhat of Uncharted 2...but nowhere near as good.

They way they've built the scenery with things collapsing/exploding around you and the climbing again gave me exactly the same feeling that they're aiming for Uncharted 2...but it's nowhere near as good.

I'd been following the game for a while and was suspicious that it was based around Journey to The West which the 70's show Monkey was also based on. I'm not sure if it was ever announced as such but last week's announcement that there would be DLC with a character called Pigsy pretty much sealed the for me.

The girl is called Trip(itaka), your character is called Monkey who was a prisoner and she controls him via a headband that gives him brain ache when he's a bad 'un. They're travelling across the country and he spends his time beating people with his magic staff and flying around on a hoverboard type thing that he calls cloud.

The subtitle of the game is Odyssey to The West, we have Pigsy on the way and I'm presuming there will be a character called Sandy at some point. So if you've been a fan of Monkey, I think you're going to have a fair idea where the story will be heading.

I'll be waiting for the price to drop before I buy this but I can see myself enjoying it quite a bit.

I must say this is brilliant, enjoyed the demo and will be buying the game . My only fault is this game show the gulf between 60 fps and 30 fps gaming .

I found the demo a bit underwhelming and the performance & animation a bit ropey.

Yeah it's a reimagining of Monkey/Journey to the West.
It has been on my radar and was nice to try out demo, graphics were solid and from the brief moments of combat it all seemed to flow well. Also liked the jumping around ala PoP style and was a very nice scenario to put on the demo, give you wee glimpse of things to come.
Will definitely grab it when I can get my hands on it
