In other news, I've watched the intro with the Chicken and it's easily one of the most entertaining cut scenes i've ever seen. Do cut scenes of a similar quality appear in the final game?
    no and no!

Riskbreaker, you are so right about the usefulness of Fallout's save system... every complex game should do that in my opinion, it certainly helps to cope with those unforgivable gamebreakers.

On a side note, anyone seen the easter eggs referring to
      , or the

      Sandgoose

      yet? Keep your eyes peeled!

Man that's annoying. As much as I love the visual styling of Albion I'm still waiting for Molyneux to make good on the promises of Fable.

I couldnt agree more, the ambitions Molyneux had and talked of in the press prior to Fable 1 always outweighed the end result.

if anything, this game (as good as it is) is far more simplified and streamlined, and far less choice is given to the player over his actions. you cant even look at your inventory or decide what to do with items.
Id also say in terms of moral decision making, it is always either obviously good or evil, thats it.

Hmmm.... that's one thing that i have to say i can't agree with. I do think Fable 3 does a great job at going beyond merely being good or evil and really does challenge those morals that linger between. Many decisions in Fable 3 challenge ultimate goodness, rather then superficially being right or wrong. Ironically these decisions aren't always portrayed to the player black and white, so it's very understandable they may go missed (which is a shame!) :-)

Is there a point at which you get access to the Sanctuary d-pad shortcuts? Seen several people refer to them, admittedly I'm still early on in the game but I haven't seen them.

Yep they appear seemingly out of nowhere. Maybe once you've been told about each room, can't remember!

Just finished the main quest about half an hour ago. It took me 12 houres to see the ending credits. 41 quests were embraced and finished, much like a pretty angel -_-

                  Nice game.

Does anyone else find that this game makes the dvd drive get way noiser than other games?

It sounds like my xbox is going to keel over if I play it, i'm installing it to the HD now which hopefully sorts it, its just strange other games don't seem to make it sound like its being overworked or something.

Some games do spin the DVD drive more constantly than others, Viva Pinata and Crackdown both stream lots and lots so the drive is set to go full whack 100% of the time

Had that too with my Slim. It was the loudest noise, I've ever heard my Xbox Slim make. Was going to install it to HDD anyways.

As for Molyneux. He is a good speaker. Promises a lot, but delivers nothing.

He said in an interview with Game Informer in 2004 that he was really excited about gaming - so excited that he would voice every single idea that came to him for the purpose of committing himself to making sure that idea made it into the game. However, as he said, his studio spends a lot of time trying to integrate those ideas into their game only to realize that they fundamentally do not work or take too much time to do.
                          That sounds like him.

It's not that Molyneux delivers nothing, it's that he promises too much. The realities associated with game development cannot match his soaring ambitions, and he also has a tendency to wax lyrical about elements others might think ordinary because I think he's a man whose imagination, whilst playing, takes things to a new level, a more personal and meaningful level. It's something I identify with as some games have the same effect on me. In layman's terms I suppose he's a bull****ter, but I love him all the same and he's the brains behind many of my favourite games.

He's not the brains though is he. The development team behind him are. He's just the talker. I'm sure you could find anybody to lead that developement team and they could make as good as game with that development team.

I disagree. Populous, Dungeon Keeper, Black & White, Fable - that track record speaks for itself.
