Started this on 360 last night.
First of all, to get it out of the way, this is basically Assassin's Creed 2: More Missions. The art isn't much improved, the tech is basically the same, and the gameplay will be instantly familiar.
I know that some people will stay away just because of that, it does feel like a mission pack. But on the other hand, I can't see how this would've been possible as DLC because the amount of content here is pretty huge. Think Doom2 to Doom rather than Gay Tony to GTA4.
Not got far enough in to play about with the new bits and pieces yet (the brotherhood recruiting, and the new weapons like the crossbow), I'll update with more impressions over the weekend on how that works.
It lets you replay any mission now as many times as you like, and as each mission now has a bonus 'do this for 100% completion' objective, I can see myself going back and replaying it a bit. (Things like 'finish this section in under 8 minutes' or 'do not be seen' etc...)
For those who really liked the glyph puzzles in AC2 (I adored them, I'm weird like that), they're back and they seem to be a fair bit trickier.
I'd say if you really liked the previous one, this is pretty much a no-brainer. Normally games that don't add much new other than new levels aren't worth picking up, but when the game they're based on was so good in the first place I don't think 'more of the same' is that bad really.
