The Online Dealership changes when the Seasonal Events change so you have until the 13th to buy the car.

I have seen a number of musicians so I will maybe try to get a set on that account.

That NASCAR Seasonal is definitely in the work rather than fun category. I just completed it on one of my other accounts. had to restart a few times. I was about 5 minutes in and spun and the thing just did not want to turn in the right direction. That was not through getting too much power down for some reason it went into "Barge Mode" with a dislike of turning! Managed a few more "excursions" than normal but still won comfortably. Got into first at the curvy "straight" (flat out all the way to the 3 corners that approach the Karussel). Finally have the nerve to keep my finger on the button until I reach the next braking zone as it holds the road better than I thought.

I used the Audi A4 for the Touring Cars as I got that off a ticket (at the first attempt!). It won comfortably (my preference) with the upgrades.

Is there an easily purchasable touring car which is competent that you would recommend for that series?

The Lexus ISF Concept is the cheapest, but it is a B-spec prize car however. So its wise to buy the BMW from the Online dealer, it'll sail through the championship as well.

Which are the best car's to use on the following events:-

          B-Spec Beginner Series:-
          Japanese Classic
          European Classic Car
          World Classic Car
          FR Challenge

          Thanks in advance

For the Japanese Classic I think I used a tuned Mazda Cosmo. They seem to be fairly regular in the UCD. There may be one in the Online Dealer at the moment. An older Skyline would probably do just as well, depending on your level. There are other alternatives but the availability in the UCD does restrict the choice somewhat.

European Classics I think was a tuned Lotus Europa. Other altrenatives would, among others, be the Lotus Elan, Jaguar E-Type or Triumph Spitfire, again, depending on your level.

World Classics, use one of the cars from the above two events.

FR Challenge I think I used an RX-7 that I bought from the UCD.

Depending on how close you want the racing check the Typical Opponents and add upgrades (or not) to get a close race or, if you prefer, a drive off into the distance race (you rather than the other cars of course).

So around 30,000 xp per race by my reckoning? The Le Mans 24 gives 2.2m, how long's each race?

I finished the Nurburgring 24 the other day in B-spec, it gives 3.7m XP, but you have to be level 40 to do the race so you can't gain any more XP by that point, so it's a bit pointless giving you loads of XP for it...

For the race I won a McLaren MP4, which I already had and for winning all the endurance races (I was hoping I'd get another Red Bull X1/X2010), I got a Formula GT - which I already had. So that was a bit annoying, the final kick in the teeth from the scummy designers...

I think I'm done with it now.

As I said before, it takes around 25m XP to get from Level 35 to level 40, so you'd have to do getting on for 1,000 seasonal races to get that much XP...

Which makes about the 5th time you've told us that...

I think the top xp reward for a seasonal race so far has been 150,000 - but they are only 5 lap races. Also every one is different so it's all good fun.

Of course, if you are just in a hurry to hit the top levels ASAP then it's no good for you anyway because these races are being drip fed to us.

edit - btw I'm wondering why you always post 2 or 3 times in succession? There is an edit button, and they don't award titles for high post counts here :P

If I ever do a double post it is because I post on my PS3 and it has a limited buffer size.

I now have completed that NASCAR Seasonal on all my accounts (thank goodness) the rest of the Seasonals are fun in comparison. However with the speed of the Camry at the 'Ring I may have more success now trying to get the Trophy for a suitably fast lap in the Nissan GT-R as it is a little slower that the NASCAR machines!

I was wondering, if I get a Japanese version of GT5 at any time, what will happen to any PAL save I have on the Account I use the Japanese version on. That is of course assuming I can ever get hold of a Japanese version of course.

I thought that too, so I went back and tried the AMG Driving Academy events - I still couldn't get close to the gold times!

After watching a lot of Top Gear lately (ashamed to say I was a Top Gear virgin up until a few weeks ago), I reckon we should do a Top Gear track Time Trial with a reasonably priced car.

Speedlolita already started a thread (a long while ago) here. Although I think we should pick a car close to the one they use in the celeb lap times in Top Gear. They use the Suzuki Liana in Top Gear, but it's not in the game. Can someone work out, which car would be the closest in performance to that Suzuki?

Let's get this going. I'm crap, but I'm up for a bit of fun. Sign up in the thread linked above.

For car I nominate the Premium Toyota Vitz RS 1.5 '07. Do an Oil Change and it has 110/111 HP (depending on where you look) and weighs 1070 Kg. Share the car for use in the Arcade.

You can approximate the standing start by approaching the line on the Arcade Time Trial in Bumper Cam and Drivers Line on. When the Gear Indicator is just above the middle of the last blue line before the start line (too low on that and you gain a time advantage!), stop and put the handbrake on (hold handbrake button briefly) and adjust Cam and Line as required. Hold Accellerator and Brake completely down. Release Brake and you are away on your lap. The line thing only seems to be that way on the first lap.

I used a Silver Chrome Paint Chip on an '07 Mini Cooper S and it's aftermarket wheels, which I Shared for Online if anyone wants to check out a Chrome car!

I just downloaded your track Bassman, had a lot of fun on it

I was in my new Big Turbo Ruf '86 on inadequate tyres, and your course has a lot of high speed sections with slight turns so it was powerslide heaven! So much so that I went back into it on drift trial mode.

I ought to try some drifting on it myself as it does seem built for such things.

Need to spend time today and tomorrow completing the Seasonals that expire in the early hours of the 13th.

I completed them on an account I set up last night to try to get a Chevelle. I have it saved before receiving the car so I can keep trying for as long as I like as long as I back up the save every time. No sign of a Chevelle yet.

I did the Advanced Top Gear Challenge and got a nice red XFR. There is something slightly odd about the way the XFR looks in the game. I can't quite put my finger on it though. Must compare it with a picture of the car I suppose.

After the five No. 2 Seasonal Races, the account is Lv 20. Just need to send a C4 WRC to it and complete the other races to reach about Lv 24, I think, with no A spec started and a decent amount of money to use!

The game must "cheat" on that RX-7 Tsukuba race. I had a 380 HP Spirit A with SRF On with Racing: Hards and cars were driving away from me on the straights!

I'm getting really tempted by some of the awesome cars that show up in the UCD. Right now I'm watching a demo of the Mitsubishi HSR-II '89 - this thing is covered in huge aeroplane-style flaps, and when it goes round corners they pop up to provide aerodynamic assistance. It looks bizarre. I'm surprised they included that level of animation detail in the standard models.

Trouble is it's 50 million yen.. I've broken the 1,000,000,000 barrier though so I shouldn't be too stingy, right?

edit - I checked and it was only 30 million, so I bought it.. hah!
