LOL an FPS. I see now Justin. That's just silly though IMO. You're pivoting the camera AROUND Link, not infront of Link. So to have it your way would just be even MORE confusing. It feels natural to me. At first I had similar problems with Mario. Then it just started to feel right. Try controlling Link with the camera. Hold forward on the left stick. Move the c stick right or left. It's how I control mario games. It's much easier for quick turns.

Hold on, the camera stick makes him turn? I thought it only controlled the camera, and no matter how you moved it he still ran in the same forward direction he was going before the camera moved. So, if you go forward and press the camera right, all you do is see him from the side still moving in the same direction he was already going.

Hhmm... Me thinks I'll have to look into this possibly new development...

It's how I controlled Mario in Sunshine. Not for the intricate bits, but for general running and looking. It's much better IMO.

And oh yeah, this game is just so ****ing good it's not funny. I mean really! The way the story builds upon OoT is just so fantastic. And I thought Prime was good!

Sadly though I think I'm further than I'd like to be. It feels like I'm well over half way thru. I don't want it to end. I just had an encounter with Ganon. Big plot developments. How far are you JR? And everyone else?

Firsty, okay, I see what you're talking about. And, to a certain extent it helps, but the reversal of my natural turning inclination still kicks me in the ass. Still, I'm beginning to get used to it, so I imagine it won't be that big a deal.

Oh, and I just got past the Fortress and talked to the boat.

And, if I might say again, this game is a marvel. I am SO glad that I got it. Everything about just drips with care and wonderment. Amazing in every way...

Heeheehee. I wasn't able to put it down.
Thus I'm further than I'd like to be.
                I'm cooling off.

Well I played the game for about 5 hours yesterday, and I have to say that it is one of the most amazing gaming experiences ever. The graphics add a lot to the experience as the range of emotions can really be portrayed.

I was quite surprised how tricky some of the earlier puzzles are, but they are never frustrating. Also the game must have the best characters in any game. Period. They are really diverse and interesting, even the human characters. Unfortunately the game has arrived at the worst possible time, as I have 3 essays that need to be done before the Easter break.

I got mine fresh from USA today YESSSSSSS.

I've only had time for 5mins, but already i love the pigs.

It's so bloody nice to watch, i'm gonna really have the mother of island explores next time i'm on.

I've had LTTP for about 3months, and completed it, doesn't give you any special goodies when linked to the GC like Metroid does it?

First off, I literally played this all weekend, i.e. about 12+ hours, I haven't done that with a game since I don't know when.

Secondly I think the game is better than I expected.

Thirdly, this is because of the GBA/GC connection, which in my opinion isn't just an afterthought, or a bonus, it makes the game, enhances it beyond all expectations. The sea make more sense, and the Tingle Tuner is just a marvellous addition for two player co-op. I can't say enough good things about it. If you have a GBA and a buddie, you cannot ignore the Tingle Tuner.

Just got past the Dragon Roost Cavern. Gohma was tricky until I figured it all out. Now I'm off to the next adventure!

                            I'm writing an essay.
                            Tingle makes sailing fun.
He tells you about all the small islands you can easily miss.
                            Great for finding Faries.
I just got triforce scrolls :/
Hope I'm not near the end......

I've now played a bit on the copy that Firsty secured for me ( thankew, kind sir ), and it is very impressive.

Content wise, it doesn't feel that different to OOT, although there are welcome new touches such as being able to use enemies' weapons once they've been knocked out of their hands ( a 3ft Link with a 6ft sword is sheer comedy ), plus the game is absolutly incredible graphically - really just like playing a cartoon ( I never imagined I'd see these kind of visuals on a console a few years ago, it makes me very optimistic for the future ).

I'm not feeling the same 'pull' that other folk have mentioned, the desire to play and play, but I put that more down to my general gaming malaise right now rather than the quality of TWW itself. It really is a game I'd use to show off my Cube ( far more than, say, Rogue Leader ), and it saddens me that it's still being bashed on message boards as being juvenile.

I'm trying to find a sail for this talking boat atm, madness I tells ya!

It's a wonderful game, to be sure. Any game which holds my attention for over a couple of hours being a rarity, it's just a pleasure to play. True to what I expected, it's almost identical in gameplay terms to Ocarina, but slightly spruced up.

The graphics are simply breathtaking at times. I love the little leaf creatures!

However, the camara is absolute garbage. Sure, it's better than most games, but still incredibly annoying, and to my mind at least, this game shows the flaws of the gamepad design. My hands really ache after a session with the game.

But, none of that spoils the experience.

Best game on the GC no question.
