Through my limited time with it, it feels like a modern take on Deus Ex. Some of the idiosyncrasies are still there, some are not. I'm definitely taking to it quicker than I did with IW and I'm itching to get back and explore.

In relation to your other questions...
No limbic damage.
Ammo seems quite plentiful, but there's ammo for different guns, yeah.
You can't use vending machines, you can find health/etc littered throughout the levels, or buy them from vendors, which are weird street guys stood next to a computer, which you buy/sell stuff on.
Flabio, that section you mentioned - I think that just adds to the immersion, that this is a living breathing world.

I just got this, was looking forward too it, then I have just read these comments on here that say you have to play it using stealth!! and it is impossible to play in any other way. WHAT??? is this really true? I guess I will give it a try but I kinda wish I hadnt bothered now, as I pretty much hate stealth games and they bore me to bits.
Having said that lots of people seemed to think it was alot easier to play stealthy in Crysis 2 and I found the opposite, to me it was alot easier to play that game gung ho and just blowing the crap out of everything, so I'm hoping you are all just wrong really.

Well I started playing this and like I thought would happen I dont really agree at all with the people who said this is stealth focused.
I'm basicaly being an arse to everyone I talk too and shooting everyone I feel like in the face with a shot gun, I'm loving it, and I dont have to bother with stealth at all.
The cover mechanics are not perfect, but its mainly becuase they make the game too easy, whenever youre in cover its too easy to line up shots and kill whoever you want with no problems. I feel the only reson people think the bosses arent in tone with the rest of the game is becuase they are playing it stealthy, I'm not though so I have no such issues.
Combat aside I really like the Blade Runner like vibe that the game has and even early on there seems to be plenty to do and see, its a very absorbing game, the atmosphere is fantastic and its a heck of alot of fun to play.
So yeah, so far I love it.Last edited by rmoxon; 26-08-2011, 19:50.

This is more like MGS or Splinter Cell stealth.
I'm playing it on the hardest settings and at the start of the game (1st mission) you can't really afford to be running at people all guns a blazing. Staying in cover and tranq-ing people is where it's at. Although the AI even does the old MGS thing of going to investigate their sleeping comrads, so you can tranq them too, and the person who investigates the 2 bodies...then the 3....then the 4.
Anyhows, I'm loving it so far, it feels like a nice mix of MGS,Splinter Cell and Mass effect, with a little fallout thrown in for good measure.
I'm very impressed with the graphics, they are very smooth and mostly jag free, the soundtrack is also very cool , ranging from Blade Runner to Mass effect.
