I agree with boris, the splinter cell stealth is pretty neat. Damn the title sequence was amazing too, really enjoying git so far, had 1 or 2 crashes tho randomly.

It's definitely stealth based, then you get to a section and you'll just stare at the screen in disbelief.
I was literally thinking "This is going to be in my game of the year thoughts" and then it happened, and I could not believe they had included that kind of thing.
Thankfully it's back to stealthy play after, but it boggles the mind how ANYONE thought it was a good idea.
Sorry to be vague, but slightly spoilery, I think - not even sure.

Completely ghosted the fist mission. Loving this just like the first game. Just discovering and finding all different paths and coming across different consequences that can effect your success or your role. The only problem I have are the textures and character models, really low Rez. The detail in the world itself is exquisite.

Even on hard this isnt really that tough, I'm not sure why everyone thinks you have to stealth through the game, as long as youre good with cover its alot of fun just to blow the crap out of everyone (I also like charging people so i can do the melee attacks as they look great). I really can't be bothered waiting around in shadows for 20 minutes when I can just kill everyone.
Anyway however you play it this is just absolubtley fantastic. Its the type of game where you really just spend half your time not even doing much, just marveling at the world and exploring off anywhere you can. For instance one of the earlier missions had an objective marker that I couldnt get too, the only route to it was through a path blocked off by electricity, I was thinking about comming back later when I had unlocked the augmentation that makes you imune to electric shocks but i decided just to explore around for a bit instead. Then, 30 minutes and a random fire fight with with a crazy sewer gang later, I had finally found a way to get where I was suppose to go, which actualy suprised me becuase by that point I had actualy just about given up.
The freedom of choice is very well implemented, with your entire progress through the game, be it main or side missions, just increadbley smooth and youre always descovering new ways to do things.
Its brilliant.Last edited by rmoxon; 27-08-2011, 12:06.

I restarted and did the first mission and intro again as I realized there was a cheev for not killing anyone and I had stabbed up a few people in the first section.
I was suprised at just how many alternate routes I found the 2nd time round, even in the tutorial area.
My main reason for choosing stealth is that when I did try to just gun people down, the controls felt a bit shonky for aiming, which for me is a sign of a mediocre FPS, and I genuinely don't feel that this is a good FPS.
The main guy's voice is a bit rubbbish, I'm not sure if they were trying to be slightly film noir with him or just be like Neo. The lip syncing doesn't bother me as it's something I've come to accept in a game like thi.s Fallout and Oblivion had 100's of people to talk to and as a result I don't think developers can justify the extra time and money it would take to have every line hand animated.

I'm a bit unsure of it from my initial play. I'm a bit of a 'storm in and shoot the **** out of everything' type, but the lack of ammo doesn't really allow it. Stealthing feels a bit boring, but having never really played stealth games it may just be a matter of getting used to it. The having to have conversations part is getting on my wick a bit to be honest, but I realise it's all part of building the story. Patience will be key here I think, so i'll give it a few hours play before really making any call on it.
