Holding down RB while using the lob button has become my new favourite move: low-driven long passes make everything better.

Until they get intercepted.

I'm enjoying this more and more, even though I know I'm a loser for playing against Championship teams with a Premiership club. At least I'm not using Man Utd or Chelsea, though.

After playing a heap of games on standard Pro difficulty, I still cannot stop the AI from scoring if it's in one of those phases where it *wants* to score.

During these brief spells, every tackle attempt ends up scuffing the ball to one of their team-mates. And that's if they're choosing not to do one of their winding runs with sudden direction changes.

I'm really enjoying this when it feels like I have a fair chance of winning the ball, and if they outplay me with passes then fair enough. But every match seems to have one ten minute spell when, all of a sudden, their players become possessed by the spirit of Maradona and they just dribble their way into the box for a goal.

Other than that, my defending's getting reasonably good - although that 80% tackle success achievement will be a tough one - my last match had 20 successful tackles in 48 attempts >_<

What button-combo is used for those sudden fast direction changes anyway? Is it a tap of LT with the corresponding nudge of the left stick or something?

Also, any other tips for how to swing the odds of winning 50/50 balls in my favour, and how to get a player to sprint ahead as soon as they pass the ball for quick counters would be much appreciated.

To make a player sprint ahead after passing then hold lb as you pass. To do the fancy tricks its all combos of lt+rs. Though you can do flair passes by holding rb when you pass. Pointless mostly but looks nice.

So: Does this have a master-league-style mode whereby me and a mate can play co-op?

I want to be able to bring in players, etc, but I want to play with the team in co-op.

Loving this so far, apart from things going against us in clubs(We've had some serious bad luck).

Anyone else had a drop ball yet? Great little touch they added, as well as the quick throw ins.

pc version looks amazing just one problem....my joypad doesnt work doesnt recognise some buttons which apparently happend with the demo to

Yeah I think they will. But iirc they can only have so many patches for each game so any later expolits will go unpatched. Pretty sure that is a rule by MS and maybe Sony too.
