Is there an easy way to compare weapons / armour like was in Demon Souls? I find the merchant stock particularly confusing as I can't tell what's better or worse than the stuff I have equiped unless I quit the shop.

Chose the Thief for the master key, but now I'm a STR/END/VIT guy with heavy armor.

I think (but not sure) if you press X/Square on the item it brings up the stats, and red= worse, blue= better obv.

                Got to

                Queelaga

, or whatever she/it is called.
I think it will be an other easy boss: I got there poisoned and with no Estus left but I managed to bring her down to half her life. Unfortunately I don't have shields that block

all fire damage, or she wouldn't have gotten me because what killed me was splash damage from her long range sword "thrust". Other than that it was just circling around and waiting for the time to strike. If I had arrows for my bow she would have been dead.
So instead of facing her again I located the shortcut from Blightown to Firelink Shrine and then to Undead Burg to reinforce my bow and buy some arrows. Just got back to the nearest bonfire to the boss, tomorrow I'll kill her for sure...her attacks are so slow and predictable that it should be a piece of cake.

                Anyway, backstabbing

the fat dung enemies in Blightown

is brutal, my knight places a sword right in their behind! And they take three critical hits to die. Slow and predictable but absolutely long to take down.

Can't beat the Capra Demon...no room and 2 dogs is too much for me...waited by a summon sign for 15 minutes, no luck with that so might have to wuss out and give up on this. Was really starting to enjoy myself too

You see From Software!! Some of us could have aided Loftgroover but no you choose rubbish online mechanics meaning he has to wait 15 minutes for no one to turn up and help!!

Now he might sell the game and badmouth its multi player aspects to others who might of also endured it's hardships with a little occasional organised help.

Take out the dogs first. As soon as you enter the room move right and dodge the incoming attack from the Capra demon. Circle him and run on the stairs on the left. Now, the first to follow will either be dogs or the Demon. If the dogs come first, kill them now. If the Demon is first climb the stairs and go left until there's space; drop down, run in the center of the room and kill the dogs. The Capra Demon will jump down, lure him in the center of the room, run on the stairs, go left once again and the Capra Demon should be right below you. Plunge him and repeat.
If you can't, his attacks aren't slow but I think the best time to counter is after the twin sword swipe. Do not stay too far away from him or he'll lunge at you causing a lot of damage even with heavy armor and shield. A 100% phisical damage reduction is highly reccommended due to the restricted area you're fighting him.

Cheers Briareos...it was the getting too far away from him getting me lunged on causing the trouble. Stayed close and killed him first try!

From now on instead of crying like a little girl I will man up...well, PM you maybe

I think you should be able to invite 2 friends, once in 24 hours and only one session, and if your level is similar, not sure if between 1-5 or 1-10 between you, maybe make it too easy?
