It should come up with a screen full of stats, in the right hand bottom corner is a series of icons that represent strength, dexterity ect, there are numbers underneath those icons that represent the required stat level. If none of the numbers are red then you can weild those weapons without any penalties.
If you are confused about what the icons stand for you can check the right hand side of the screen as your stats should be there and will act as a key.

I know some people have trouble with the multi player aspect but when it works it's glorious, the reason why you can't part up with friends is because it adds to the feeling of loneliness and disparity throughout the game, only joining forces seldomly with other lost souls, how easy would the game be if you could just coop with two friends throughout the whole thing?
There are times for example in Sens Fortress where I can hardly leave the first room without getting summoned, but it does depend on level, I imagine NG+ will be better for this as players will have a larger spread of levels to summon phantoms from.
I have only ever seen one summon sign from another real life player (as opposed to an NPC) and this was someone who had previously invaded my game and was expecting me to help them fight a boss!
My messages still never get rated either, I'm pretty sure that I am amazingly helpful but I guess no one cares.

I would wait for Ornstein to dash forward, quickly disengage and attack Smough, one/two strikes top, two handed, from the rear. Ornstein alone, albeit empowered, was extremely easy.
If you have troubles with the first phase you can summon Solaire after clearing the room from the archer and the two giants, he won't kill any of the two bosses but at least he'll distract one long enough for you to kill the other.
I might just use the boss souls, I'm not interested in any weapon they make, unless there is an achievment for getting all of them?Last edited by rmoxon; 19-10-2011, 15:56.

I have found fighting most bosses with the summoned character harder (minus the gargoyle fight that is) The gaping dragon and Quelaag def. were. They tend to make the boss move all over the place so you cant stay in the safer spots. After many fails with help I did them first time solo! Much easier to judge what they are going to do next when they are just focusing on you!

When you summon someone all you have to do is get the bosses attention and then guard, if you keep the bosses attention focused on you and only attack it everytime it takes notice of the NPC then tthe character you have summoned can easily kill the boss for you while its back is turned to them.
It completely eliminates the challenge from the game.

Anor Londo
pretty okay. Still stuck on the first boss though. Just wondering where I'm at level wise at this place in the game compared to other people.

Queelag's Fury
Sword!
Developed from a +10 curved sword and Queelag's Soul. It has a low phisical damage (60) but high fire damage (180) and like all curved swords hits fast. Has an A in dexterity scaling and E in strenght, but damage also scales with humanity points; not enough my covenant grants me more power to fire damage.
It was nice to see
the ghosts in New Londo
to burn, though
they left no souls...just a bunch of transient curses and a special dagger able to damage ghosts.
Unfortunately the
Fury Sword isn't that strong against the darkwraiths in Lower New Londo, so I reverted back to the trusty Black Knight sword and died two times due to the wraiths' special move.
Cool armor though.
