Opened the door in Darkroot earlier and after initially struggling with those annoying forest people I killed the boss with ease. It looks really cool and the fight was actualy pretty enjoyable, but its a really easy fight becuase all you need to do is block attack block attack block attack over and over and its done and dusted.

I killed the red dragon in the burg too... it only took around 350 arrows

I killed the burg Dragon with 1 arrow :-( My friend at work did the same. Dunno how that glitch slipped through the net really.

You mean shot it in the back from the tower behind? I thought it only flew else where.

Yep. It flew off, crashed through the scenery and then I had 10,000 souls. I'm assuming that's cos it died?

I didn't see it crash into the scenery at all and don't remember 10000 souls.

Did you hit it in the back by climbing the stairs where the golden knight was and shooting it from the top of there?

That was the spot I had picked to come back too and kill it from but for some reason it was no longer visible from that spot anymore even though it clearly should have been. I dont know wether there has been an update since the last time i saw it from that spot, maybe From Software knew about the glitch and have altered the game so it doesnt appear from there now?

Yes that the location I used to attack it. One arrow and it flew off.

Same happened with me twice now. He only flies to the visible spot later on in the game.

At the top of the tower where you fight the black knight after your first encounter with 3 rats at once. I think you can only see him from there after you

                      have rung the first bell.

One arrow and he flies off in a rage. Then seems to die. It is worth 50,000 souls in NG+

ah right I must have killed it then. I was expecting at somepoint a massive face-off with it.

So was I. I think that, on reflection, Dark Souls is probably a poorer game overall than Demon's Souls. There are things that it does better like the overarching world map, the streamlined weapon upgrade system (having all the ore variations on one name makes it easier for me!) and a slightly easier challenge (if you want it) what with summoning NPC's as helpers.

But the atmosphere is less intimidating, the world is less complicated, there is more backtracking (due to the new world structure) and there are less "Oh Sh*t" moments. The dragons in Demon's Souls, including the Dragon God were incredible, there really isn't much of that scale in Dark Souls and the

                          Bed of Chaos

is nothing on the Dragon God, the Storm King or even the Tower Knight. It isn't as challenging either, apart from

                          Ornstein and Smough

I don't think there were any really difficult bosses. The

                          last boss

in particular is a bit of a weiner.

I miss the world tendency system, it effected proceedings in a tangible way that you could affect, the changes to the world in Dark Souls are all story scripted and not player driven. The covenant system is a poor imitator.

Lastly the story in Demon's Souls was far more involved with better NPC's and events. Probably even better areas, I don't think anything compares to the Tower of Latria for me. The story linking made sense in Demon's. Here, it is so shrouded in mystery and obfuscation that it doesn't really make sense. Both endings come from nowhere with no proper hints or explanations as to why they happen.

Dark Souls is a very good game and I am really enjoying it but I think that Demon's is better overall. Anyone who hasn't played it should seek it out and if you like Dark and only have a 360, get a PS3 borrowed or bought and play the original.

He was previously always visible from that spot in my game. I am now 55 hours in and hit a brick wall so decided to backtrack and kill it but it was no longer visible from the place where the knight was, even though the dragon is clearly sat in the same place it always was. I had to kill it with arrows from under the bridge.

The bridge drake is incredibly glitchy. I've never had it to show from the black knight tower, but if I go down to the bonfire or the bridge beneath it, it shows up. It flies away when I cross the bridge from the Parish side and returns when I cross from the Burg side.
